[Awaken.

Fifteen strangers have been gathered to the Depths.

When the strangers awaken, they will feel nauseous in their stomachs. No doubt confused. Maybe a little sick, Perhaps, even terrified. And certainly, there is a good reason for it - they are not where they were before. If they had powers back where they came from, they seem to be all gone. And it appears that someone has left...guidelines for them. All of them addressed to a specific Title.

Their Title. Somehow, each person knows, upon seeing this, this is their Title, even if it seems to make no sense whatsoever. And its clear that whoever wrote these things knew it as well. Who was it?

Its uncertain. So far, there seems to be no one else save for them, and those who dare to venture out of their rooms - save, for some reason, the individuals in rooms 1, 8 and 7 - in this hot and stuffy place. No...'intercessor' to be seen yet, certainly. No outward signs that there's anyone else aside from the people with 'Titles'.


So, Titled: welcome.

[Now, just because he has the Number of the Beast tattooed on his hand in bright, bloody red...okay, yeah, it looks bad. But if this guy doesn't know what the Institute is...he slowly lowers his hand, though he still has a tense and wary look about him.]

The Yuriev Institute. It's where I'm supposed to be when I'm not out on a mission.

[Plenty of people don't know about the Yuriev Institute, so that doesn't strike him as immediately weird. His hand lowers slightly, giving the impression of lowering a weapon aimed in haste.]

Did you just wake up here, too?

It's on Planet Zavarov. You'd know it if you were there, it was full of URTVs, like me.

The Yuriev Institute, it's where I'm from. I can't sense any of the other URTVs, so someone must have attacked them.

[His hand lowers slightly, looking like a mix between lowering a weapon and faltering in an only partly-suppressed cringe.]

What? No, I'm not mechanical at all. Anatomically speaking, I'm very similar to a human, and I have the same level of independent thought.

[zephyranthe]

Yup. [And she yawns, as if to punctuate this.] Wasn't where I fell asleep, too.

[There's a flicker of worry that passes through her face at the last bit, but it disappears quickly enough.]

[...god. What was she? Ryuji? She knew better than that. Futaba flinched, taking a step back when he let her go.]

I know that! I... know... But first all these strangers and now you're acting all weird-- [Deep breath...] You really don't remember anything since Madarame's Palace?

[That's... no small chunk of memory. Because that would mean he doesn't know what the Phantom Thieves did to Kaneshiro either.]

Listen. Your code name is Fox-- and your teammates are Panther, Skull, Mona and Joker. And the person responsible for that has to be the one that kidnapped us. You've gotta believe me.

[Because she doesn't know what she'd do if he didn't.]

Lady, need you aid identifying what is safe?

[ She may not have even noticed him there, for even without his birthright, Maglor moves near silent, and tends to pass unnoticed, although how exactly a 6'5" elf does so is a mystery. But there is, in fact, someone else in the kitchen, nursing a mug of mead, watching her. ]

[It's definitely hard to miss the slight commotion on the kitchen side of the door, but Fie was content to leave it alone, considering that everyone here seemed to be exploring the place anyhow, herself included. So when Futaba opens the door, she'll be greeted with the sight of a relatively short girl standing at one of the shelves staring back at her.]

Boo.

[It is the most bored and flat sounding exclamation ever, is she even trying?]

[Is he... still trying...??? Well she guesses he deserves points for tenacity at least.]

...fine. But it's up to you to find a place. I don't know anything about the layout of this building.

[She hadn't gone looking yet. At least not before she ran into Laslow here.]

[Stop that, you're gonna make him yawn too! In fact, he might have started too and then cut it off.]

So we're both prisoners. But why? You aren't from the Institute, so this can't be over a battle that used URTVs...

[Fie's quite good at detecting peoples' presences due to her own upbringing, but she doesn't quite notice him enter at first. Still, she doesn't startle or show much of a reaction at all when he speaks up.]

Not really. Just wanna know which kinds there are. I'm trying to look for the ones that have the most alcohol.

They have hammers and daggers. [The latter of which Fie seems to be handling pretty much right at that moment.]

Bear traps, too. [Is she helping yet??]

[Since realizing his standard URTV powers are nullified, Rubedo has been trying and failing to call up the fire of the Red Dragon. Now that he's thoroughly convinced that even the Red Dragon Drive is nullified...he sees this. His surprise shows in his tone, if not his face.]

How did you do that?

...NO, I'M A SKELETON. UNLESS THAT IS WHAT YOU CALL A SKELETON! AND IF THAT'S THE CASE THEN YES, I AM A METAPHOR!

[yawns more She'll just shrug at that.]

Mm, I can think of a reason. [But some underground catacomb like this didn't quite seem like the kind of place she would've expected to have been held if the Noble Alliance had been responsible.]

I dunno what URTVs are, though, and I don't think this was done by the people I know, either.

[WOW YOU'RE LOUD. Also. Skeletal. He looks a bit startled once he gets a good look at the person he stopped, but...it could be a droid of some sort, right?]

I just woke up here. But something must've happened to the Institute!

WELL, IS THIS YOUR INSTITUTE? COULD BE, RIGHT?
MAYBE IT GOT RENOVATED WHILE YOU WERE ASLEEP!

That the only thing you missing? [Hell, just taking a look at the kid there's one thing missing that's plain as day, but there may be other things that can't be seen, like his own abilities.] I know I was missing the sound of feminine screeching telling me to get off my lazy ass.

Well... hypothetically speaking... it wouldn't be much of a practical joke if you saw it coming.

[Still. Someone lazy doing all this? It just doesn't fit. But the transcending laws of magic and physics part can't be ignored either.]

But that sounds pretty elaborate, don't you think?

MY BROTHER'S PRANKS CAN GET PRETTY CRAZY WHEN HE WANTS THEM TO BE! ONE TIME, HE USED HIS QUANTUM PHYSICS KNOWLEDGE AND ACTUALLY MADE ME THINK HE CLEANED THE SOCK HE KEEPS LEAVING IN THE LIVING ROOM.

ALL SO HE COULD GO TO GRILLBY'S WHILE I WASN'T LOOKING! IT WAS BRILLIANT! AND I WAS ANNOYED AT HIM.
