EVIDENCE [1/2]

7-5-9x

The world outside this universe...I cannot even begin to describe it. It moves much, much slower, for one thing, so I’ve had to adjust. While it has been months here, years even (I have adjusted my internal calendar to compensate for this), she has only started opening her eyes and talking, and it has been mere hours since her illness subsided. I see the insides of the hospital.

And Cheol, of course. He doesn’t seem to have left her side. Aunt Marie seems to have an unfathomable hatred of him. Considering his role in our destruction, I can imagine why. So I shall have to factor in that whenever I attack, Cheol must not have an opportunity to be a part of the counterstrike.

Having access to her vision is very helpful in this regard. He doesn’t leave her side. He even fetches her food for her. It’s just soup for now, but she will no doubt get stronger as she recovers. For now.

I have been busy with my building, but it’s coming along well. The nearby natives of this universe do not suspect that it is mine - or what it shall be used for. Indeed, many of the original natives who once questioned its presence have become much older - already over a decade has passed here. I and Aunt Marie, however, have barely aged.

It would make sense, as time in here goes much faster than time beyond this universe. I checked on the outside and it has only been a day or so at best. Now it appears that she is recovering much more quickly, and is eating much more solid food now. Soon she’ll be back to her regular duties, and I shall be able to monitor how her mind works when she is at optimal function.

Again, Cheol hasn’t left her side. I suppose it makes sense, as he is her head bodyguard. There has been other visitors as well, the doctors and her scientist friend and all, but she seems to focus mostly on him. Perhaps she is simply very, very thankful that he saved her life.

I have discovered television. She’s been watching a great deal of it, and apparently the news is all about the defeat of our forces and the reinforcement of the current status quo beyond. They shall continue to only rely on one person to man their interstellar defense system. Which seems utterly stupid - relying on only one person is what caused their problem to begin with.

But I suppose I should be glad for their idiocy - if I am successful Earth will once more be defenseless. Though to what end that will accomplish this time is unknown without any threats on the horizon, but that is not my concern.

Right now I shall see if my unique properties will allow me to duplicate the things I can see through her eyes. If so, I can perhaps watch television with whatever free time I have.

She has been released from the hospital. Watching through her eyes, I can see her re-enter the world. Instead of the sterile hospital room, with no one but Cheol at her side, now, I can see all of the bright colors of the sky, and the sun. The flash of photographers and the chauffered car she’s driven in. The city she lives in and all of its buildings. Her house, a magnificent mansion on the outskirts of a military base.

It’s all very startling for me. And Cheol’s still by her side even though it isn’t his shift. He must be incredibly overprotective with what’s happened. Obviously, striking now would be a bad idea.

I have resumed my attempts to discern cooties, but have so far found nothing. The outside universe doesn’t seem to hold answers to this, either. I will have to keep it in mind as I continue to prepare

Because of the time dilation effect, it has been close to a century here. I have created auditory receivers that now allow me to hear beyond this universe alongside the ocular information. So much auditory sensation. And hearing her voice for the first time...hers is high, but pleasant. Much more than Aunt Marie’s. But she also sounds lonely.

I suppose it makes sense. Given her duties to Earth, given her importance, she is essentially shut away from everyone except for a few guards and scientists. Since the failed attack, the security seems to be much more than doubled, and protocol is much stricter on her freedoms. She used to be allowed to go to places on-base by herself, and elsewhere with a single escort. Now she cannot even go to her commode without two guards at the door.

They expect an attack from the outside. They do not know that her doom is already here, on the inside--me.
