FINAL WEEK

[Well. What else can be said? The Little Courtesy is over. You have all survived. You are now going to your final destination-with invitations to boot. And Charlotte will be getting that private audience, as promised.

But it's not over. Everyone knows it. Confrontation is inevitable. The question is what, exactly, will happen when that confrontation happens-or if anyone will in fact be able to go with Charlotte when it happens. But you've gone this far. There's no turning back. There has to be a way.

Nothing has been certain, or simple. Whatever happens will be no different from the horrors of the Little Courtesy. Perhaps the saying might still hold. Will all be well? Will it?

It must. God help everyone if it isn't.

[ He hesitates for a moment, before a small nod and taking a seat. He doesn't say anything but oh yep those are tears again why does this keep happening. ]

[He pulls off a strip of bandage from the roll and hands it over to Mithos for tissue use.]

[ Mithos will take it but his hand just... goes back to gripping the staff instead. He does finally speak though. ]

They ... shouldn't have been able to get this. And yet ... somehow they did. I wonder how...

Yes ... although she had different spells than me. While I used primarily offensive magic she was our healer as she... mostly had defensive and healing magic.

That's very important to have while traveling the world. I've been knocked unconscious many times, myself... healers are extremely helpful.

They are... she was always willing to help someone in need. Despite it all she ... put the world before herself.

[ Mithos is silent for a while before he responds. Even if he doesn't respond the implication is there already, isn't it? And Caleb is the only one he's outright told he's an halfelf to...

[That... will make taking her with them much more tricky, but he at least has the sense to not say that.]

[ Yeah that is .... certainly a can of worms you probably don't want to open, Caleb. ]

[ He's learned hugs are comforting even if it's not his Sister? So ... ]

[He stands up and moves over so he can wrap his arms around Mithos. He smells a little bad, and his jacket still has dried blood on it, and he's a little stiff... but it's warm, at least.]

[ It's fine. It's the warmth that matters most of all. Mithos doesn't let go of the staff completely, but he'll let one go as he goes to grip Caleb's jacket. He cries, but it's silent. He already did most of his crying back when he first remembered this.

The staff just reopened the wounds. Though, were they ever really closed at all?

After a moment he'll speak, but he doesn't let go quite yet. ]
