WEEK 3

[It has begun. With the death of the Spinner and the execution of the Indulgent, they remaining Titled will be plagued once more by vivid dreams. And just as last week, they are awoken by the sounds of doors creaking open.

Just like last week. But no one had died last week. Right? No one had been subjected to that...thing.

And yet the strange, cold feeling of foreboding remains. And it is certainly most worrisome to those living in rooms 3, 4, 6, and 15. Those who pass by room 7 and 8 will feel that same, worrisome feeling of foreboding as well.

What will they wake up to find? Who knows, now. If dragons are real, anything is possible.

There are thirteen strangers in this place.]

Did anyone find a sign of them? I haven't heard anything through the doors but...

Okay, okay...[She waves her hands, please calm down.] Start from the beginning, what's U-DO?

You're supposed to let animals outside for fresh air... It'd still be in here with us, but I thought it'd like the breeze... Apparently it doesn't.

[Huh. He wasn't expecting that, but he guesses he'll explain why he jumped at him then - something he had to ask himself what it was about before apologizing like this anyway.]

It was just that word "exp" when we were talking about murder. Made it sound like you weren't taking it seriously.

[He shrugs at that question about whether a beef substitution would matter. Obviously he wouldn't be that picky if there weren't any other choices, but he knows fuck all about how magical components interact.]

If we don't have flour... [Well, his eyes travel to this giant fucking pile of wheat Papyrus put there earlier?? Tell him if you know how to turn this into that, Professor.]

WELL, YOU KNOW! SKELETONS ARE PRETTY HEALTHY TOO! AS YOU CAN SEE. I AM VERY HEALTHY. AND NOT AT ALL SICK!

[And he's setting this bottle down on the table for them.]

Well, I was screwing around with the lab and I... um, made this! Can you tell me if it's any good?

What? How the hell would that happen?

[He had no idea about Papyrus being easy to kill, you see. In fact he pretty much assumes it's the opposite since skeletons are just bones.]

Do you really think we'd be able to cure a deadly virus...?

[It seems to make him think, at least.]

[ Ever since that weird virus was released, it was hard to miss how it's affecting some of the people around here and yet he wasn't affected by it at all.

Opening the door to the armory, Killua blinked a couple of times when he saw Eric just standing there with this weird look on his face. He swore he's seen that kind of expression on people before, but it was otherwise hard to explain. That same instinct just told him to stay here, as much as he didn't entirely like Eric all that much. ]

I get the feeling that maybe you shouldn't be in here right now.

Workshop

[lightnen]

It's a little bit into the day when Killua finally decided to peek into the workshop, blinking a couple of times when he realized that Maglor was working in here. Something that got his attention, shifting and moving over to somewhere off to the side of the elder elf with bright eyes.

"Hey! Think you'd be able to make me somethin' special there?"

[kiddefender]

[Yes she can. The book is now the other side of the room.

Raph is no longer in the room either, she is outie.]

[lightnen]

[ He sighed but soon shook his head, but otherwise his expression hadn't fallen any from what it had been before. ]

As far as I know, their titles are exactly the same as ours. The guy I've been keeping in contact with, his name is Linkara and he shares the same exact title as me.

[lightnen]

Some animals just don't wanna be cooperative. You really can't help that.

[ A shrug of his shoulders, Killua looked incredibly at ease with his hands in his pockets as he regarded her. ]

[Then they are blinking at each other, because Killua of all people wasn't someone he expected to find in here at this time. He's moving at a normal speed, and by this point Eric can tell that it means he's unaffected. He looks genuinely surprised at that assessment, though.]

Huh?

[And then... worry crosses his features. Did he think...no, no way.]

I-I'm fine! I was just, you know, making sure no one else could get in here...

[His syllables are drawn out, spoken slowly.]

It's a start. Thanks. I'm not asking to be rude or anything, so hope the people you're with understand that.

...Think you'd be okay kinda keepin' in contact through this book, Linkara?

[lightnen]

[ If he hadn't figured out things before, this cemented it in place in his mind.

Nobody would normally speak in such a manner, drawing out their syllables and done so in a more slowed fashion than normal. Part of him was thankful that he hadn't been affected by this, and felt only a little bit of pity for those who were; namely Rubedo being one of the ones he cared about in this kinda situation. ]

Yeah? Do you really think in the state that you're in, that you should be guarding all the weapons?

[ Deciding to test something, he used a very subtle amount of extra speed to move past Eric with ease and turned to face him once he stood behind him. ]

If you can't stop a kid like me from coming in here, then what makes you think you'd be able to stop anyone else?

[lightnen]

Essentially they wanted equality and didn't think the ones who weren't like them should be leading them as it made them feel even more inferior.

[ Just a guess but that had to be it, right? Though the last part of Rubedo said had him exhaling a small sigh, shaking his head afterward. ]

...You have the strength to protect others now, don't you? If you keep dwelling on the past then you won't be able to see there's others here now you could be protecting. If you want help with that, i'd even be willing to try and help you so noone else has to die, okay?

[lightnen]

Awesome! I think we can probably do it then, if we got lots of capable people willing to take this thing on.

[ Oh yeah, he's excited - and happy - that Maglor acknowledges his strength for what it's worth. ]

[lightnen]

[ The gesture itself was appreciated for the most part, if the incident that caused this wasn't so fresh in his mind. Which was why he immediately pulled back his hands with touch of alarm written all over his face. ]

D-Don't...! You'll just make it worse and I.. I'm sorry...

[ His voice faltered at the end, gaze cast downward and away from Maglor. ]

I know I didn't mean to cause it but I did... how is it not my fault?

I don't think anyone here has the magic to make trees grow... Or change the types of trees.

[She has seen it happen before though.]

Wouldn't it be better to grow one in the garden if you can find the seeds?
