Some compounds are pretty flammable, so we're back to purity. Quicksilver itself it a metal.

I'm just thinking, if there was a fire, the quicksilver could expand and get out in the open that way, maybe. But like, everyone knows it's poisonous, so there usually isn't gonna just be quicksilver lying around in a kitchen, you know? So why's it there?
