[Fifteen X-Passes. You've finally done it. You can now go free. However, the price has been steep. Too steep.




True, you can leave. Anyone can, now. But simply leaving may be a bad idea. After all, who knows what else Zero has up its sleeve? Who knows what's outside of the HMHS Gigantic? How will they survive? How will they eat? And those are the easy questions that need to be answered. After all, the mystery of Zero, the mystery of Zack, the mystery of who is the cause of all of this and why-those things are also seemingly impossible to answer without some preparation. There's also the new area that's opened up that may yet yield more for the survivors to mull over.


Rushing is surely a bad idea. It's time to prepare. Take the time to get ready for whatever is outside. Stock up on supplies. Write what needs to be written. Say what needs to be said. Get ready for the possibility that whatever is out there, whatever the answers are-they will not be easy, and they will not be quick.


More than that, but-where are all these cuts coming from on your body? Hm. Maybe you keep bumping into things or scratching too hard. Did everyone save Roland get super clumsy or something all of a sudden?


Well. Maybe the answers to all that are just around the corner. So. Let's get ready. The end is near.

The people reporting your conversations to us were very specific about this. That the ship has a connection to a hellgate of some sort, that we had to remain inside to rescue anyone.

[ Really. All he'd meant to do when coming over here was just to check on how things were by the X-Door and here there were the others. Not what he expected but... then he blinked seeing Nero there. ]

Ah, Nero!! Is everything alright?

[ By this point he's not really phased by seeing a ghost. Not one bit. ]

[Makima turns around entirely.]

Did Nero ever tell you that if all the required X Passes are gathered, we should go out to rescue the others as soon as possible? That we have been wasting days?

[Makima turns to Roland as he enters.]

Strength for a purpose, huh? A way to stay safe - easy enough now, then. Defy the odds, that's a good ambition, there's a sense of approval. The connection stirs, somehow lazy and eager at once. Easy confidence.]

[ He offers a small wave all the same, though pausing a little as he muses that over. ]

That had not been something that had quite come up prior, but I have been under the impression that we needed to wait until we'd rescued the others first. [ It just seemed like a risk and what if it happened and then all those lost souls got trapped here? ] I might have an easier way for him to talk to us about all that.

[Makima sighs an enormous sigh.]

At least I can trust you.

[She wishes she could say that with a certain confidence ((the way she says things in red)). But at least she can say it in another color. She offers Roland a beautiful smile.]

I'm your Carmelian, after all.

[It's a bit clumsy with her one hand, but she offers him pencil and paper eagerly. Well, she doesn't really know what's going on. If Nero possesses Roland to talk to her, Makima supposed she's alright with that.]

[ Following Alastor's suit, he took ahold of Durandal that he'd brought with him and split it into two. He believes in Gai's ability to pull through. ]

Alright. Here comes a second hit, Gai.

[ An exhale and he goes for a quick slash. ]

[ There's a small moment where he smiled at her admission of trust, though it only grew a touch brighter when she'd used the title he'd given her yesterday. To which Roland nodded confidently. ]

Indeed you are! I'm glad you've warmed up to it so soon!

[ He accepted the pencil and paper, then glanced over to Nero once more. ]

If I go straight for allowing him to possess me, you all should just be able to speak to him directly but who can say if it'll be the same as last time.

[ He gives a look to the others, then a nod of his head. ]

Alright, Nero. I'm ready.

[And so the ghost runs to Roland-Hermes can probably notice the similarity to when he was attacked-and he disappears into Roland.

With a blink, Roland's eyes go icy blue, and he rolls his shoulders.]

Fuck. Never will get used to possessing people.

[Yeah, that's definitely not Roland talking lol.]

Ooooooh! THAT'S what you were trying to do to me! And here, I thought you were trying to kill me!

Yeah, no, can't exactly kill someone when you don't have fucking permanent tangibility.

[He can! It is more difficult to make small bolts fire slower and large bolts fire faster.

What is not easily changed is the direction of fire. A pause to re-aim seems to be necessary.]

Do you... have anything useful to say about all this...?

[ His gaze fell upon some of those cuts, brows knitting into a frown. Though he soon just nodded in response to those words. ]

I have to agree. I'm hoping in that what they do down there is enough to give them enough of an opening, so they can join us in leaving the ship.

[ Though he did hum a bit after, taking in the other man's weariness for another moment. ]

Say, Kira? I'm not quite sure how much a fighter it is you are, but going forwards? I would like to give you something all the same.

[Hmm... What happens if he drops the fury part and focuses exclusively on the control part?

Is he able to control how fast his normal fireballs charge up? Or what shape they're in? Can he "reverse charge" or not charge at all? If he keeps a fireball, is it possible to use one as a light source?]

Actually, no! I do think Hubert of Black Onyx not only works, but it seems like something that suits him well.

[ Going to take the sheet of paper out that resembled the one he showed Alastor, and then filled out Hubert's name and title on it neatly. ]
