[Fifteen X-Passes. You've finally done it. You can now go free. However, the price has been steep. Too steep.




True, you can leave. Anyone can, now. But simply leaving may be a bad idea. After all, who knows what else Zero has up its sleeve? Who knows what's outside of the HMHS Gigantic? How will they survive? How will they eat? And those are the easy questions that need to be answered. After all, the mystery of Zero, the mystery of Zack, the mystery of who is the cause of all of this and why-those things are also seemingly impossible to answer without some preparation. There's also the new area that's opened up that may yet yield more for the survivors to mull over.


Rushing is surely a bad idea. It's time to prepare. Take the time to get ready for whatever is outside. Stock up on supplies. Write what needs to be written. Say what needs to be said. Get ready for the possibility that whatever is out there, whatever the answers are-they will not be easy, and they will not be quick.


More than that, but-where are all these cuts coming from on your body? Hm. Maybe you keep bumping into things or scratching too hard. Did everyone save Roland get super clumsy or something all of a sudden?


Well. Maybe the answers to all that are just around the corner. So. Let's get ready. The end is near.

...Jokes aside, I saw checks written by Dante, Morrison, and some M. Arkham person for things that included funeral expenses, rebuild expenses, and 'suriiver' support. Think that's for whatever happened in Red Grave City?

He's not human, I know that much...and he still has supernatural powers here. Including needing to be killed twice before it stuck.

Why would people suspect him as a killer, though? I'm not sure he could swat a fly without immediately apologizing for it.

...and that other stuff...could've been. Hell, most of Dante's jobs involve damage you try to avoid, and lives you try to save, but. Red Grave City...it was a whole city. They're still counting the death toll...in the millions. The entire metropolitan area is a wasteland because of the Qilphoth.

How resistant is the tree to fire?

Yeah, we ended up thinking he probably has false memories, instead of just losing some like the rest of us. He only seems to know the broad strokes of things.

Wondering if he might actually be a weakened god. You know he's supposedly from a suburb named Greece?

...Yeah. Old asshole comes every week and do checkups on him all the time when he's asleep, when everyone's indisposed or also asleep. He had access to and from the ship and shit. Don't know what he was checking, though.

I mean. It's a demon tree from Hell. It does have some resistance to fire.

Can't speak for the tree directly, fire's never been my thing, but I can say that it takes magical fire to have a chance of hurting me, personally.

So, unless the tree's more fire resistant than 'demon from Hell' generally implies, your Devil Arm oughta at least hurt.

I beg your pardon. I must have missed some statement you made about not having all your memories at first, or otherwise being indisposed.

Otherwise, you'd be telling us that, when my proposal to detain Zack Prince was vetoed, we were denied an extremely effective route of access to "the old man".
