THE THIRD VICTIM

[A week has passed. Food supply is starting to get low, despite the group's best efforts. It's only a matter of time before the food runs out or becomes more difficult to procure. Not to mention the trash that has been accumulating since the beginning of the week, with no one changing or cleaning it up. Not exactly the healthiest environment.

And, as the day dawns, there is - unfortunately - that very worrisome feeling that something is very, very wrong. It's quiet. Too quiet. The feeling of being watched has increased tenfold.

And there is a smell in the air, even above the garbage, as people step into the second floor hallway.]

[First, the most obvious thing. There is a piece of paper sewn into the inside leather of the gauntlet.]

[lightnen]

[ That's a curious little thing, isn't it.

He turns the gauntlet over and sees the paper, raising it up to see if there's anything written on it and if he can read it. ]

[It says simply "TO ALEXIS DO NOT OPEN UNTIL TRIAL".]

[lightnen]

[ There's immediate recognition of that name, wondering what could really be so important that it had to be kept like this and why was it addressed to Alexis?

Is there more to the paper or any way to remove it? ]

[strangerpeople]

[It's folded. Nothing a knife couldn't get out of the thread, but there is something else that's important.

The gauntlet also was covering a nasty, open, bleeding scar on the inside of his wrist.]

[lightnen]

[ So he'll do just that. He pulls out his one knife and carefully cuts the thread so he can take the folded up paper.

That's when he saw the bleeding scar, eyes going a bit wide. What could have caused this ?]

[It looks like the cut's been intentionally kept open. Probably has to do with the thing that seems to be stuck inside the cut.

>Take it out?]

[lightnen]

[ He's already stuck his hand inside of one bloody wound today so, sure. Going to take out whatever was stuck inside that cut.

What is it..? ]

[strangerpeople]

[Its a strange lockpick. Given how beefy his arm is, it hides perfectly.]

[lightnen]

[ What a weird thing to be keeping there. Either way he's going to hold onto it for now, just as he will with the note.

Is there anything else about the body he should be noting or even about the hallway itself? ]

[strangerpeople]

[There are several invisibility potions still on his body, the further he searches. He will also notice a different potion in the other hand that did not have the gauntlet on it.]

[ Not having expected to have uncovered all of this, it happened to be quite the find.

Going to take the invisibility potions because it could come in handy. Even if he wasn't sure exactly what they could do yet. Though it's when he reaches the other potion, that he hesitated. Was there anything distinctive that set it apart from the others? ]

[strangerpeople]

[It's not invisibility potion and it's half gone.]

[lightnen]

[ Huh. This feels like it's important so he'll have to bring it with him for now.

Leaving it out here didn't feel right. It probably ties in to what he heard about Maglor, possibly. Once that's done, he looked around to see if anything else was immediately amiss.

All of this was quite curious and he wanted to get to the bottom of it. ]
