...THE BEGINNING
[Fifteen strangers were brought into the Depths to end the world, and they survived, with extra strangers along for the ride. Though the old world ended, creation itself has been preserved, and a new world has been born, shaped by the survivors. Portals to new worlds have been opened, and memories are slowly, but surely, returning.
And what better way is there to celebrate the beginning of a world, but with a spaghetti dinner?
Well, there was plenty of spaghetti, but some people thought that maybe there should be more than spaghetti. The Dragonborn did their best to make non-spaghetti food based on their memories of Tamrielic cuisine - being a cook themselves and cooking their own meals, even as an Emperor.
Spiced coffee with moon sugar and sweetmeat pasties in the shape of the moons, from Elweyr.
Imperial-style spiced sausage, braised in wine, and a tomato-flavored rye bread.
From Iliac Bay, a paprika-spiced rice dish with chicken and roasted peppers and a spiced banana mash in the style of Hammerfell.
From the Alik'r Deserts of Hammerfell, scorpion braised with venom sauce - which Alexis seems to like. It doesn't seem to be poisoned.
From Daggerfall, beet hummus, and stuffed dormice wrapped in bread like sandwiches.
From High Rock, Potage le Magnifique, with Alexis' special, not-lethal secret ingredient, and rock trout, along with fruit dumplings.
Lamb's bone broth with potato dumplings and vegetables, just like in the strongholds of the Orcs - with a dash of rice - and a dessert of carmelized beetroot.
Saltrice flatbreads and Telvanni-style mushroom medley with frost salts, from Morrowind.
Black Marsh King Yellow slug, served raw with some seasoning and wrapped in nut leaf. They are delicious, really.
Of course there is Skyrim's honey mead and blue cheese with honeyed oatcakes, along with horker and ash yam stew from Solstheim.
For now, it's time to relax, and celebrate the end - and beginning. Work can be done tomorrow. Questions can be answered later, if any are left. For now, eat, and enjoy. Bring your friends from home. Be happy, and remember.
There were 15 strangers.
But they are not strangers anymore.]
((OOC: Congratulations on ending Round 1 with the Golden End! For this feast, characters may bring people from their own canons to mingle with other players! Assume that portals have been opened for everyone by this time to go back and forth from their home worlds.
While you're here, please feel free to hit up the HMD, and we'll see you all when Round 2 happens!))

[ The voice is low and amused and fond, Maglor drifting over quietly to watch ]

Yup! This's Gon! My best friend from home that I told you about.
[ Totally forgetting that he'd just VERY easily said that aloud with Gon practically right there, but in the heat of the moment it could be forgiven, right? ]
I wanted him to see this place for himself and so I could have him meet you guys. [ Then, a slightly delayed reaction as he looks over to Gon while trying not to be as excitable as he'd first let on. ] I think I mentioned him to you on the way here, Gon. He's the elf I told you about. His name's Maglor and he's got all these cool stories that sound like they could have come out of some book!

Which is probably one of the reasons why Gon's smile goes from beaming to near-blinding. Though that might also be because the other boy just introduced him as MY BEST FRIEND. And also that Killua told other people about him. It's a big combination of all three. He turns that smile on Maglor.]
Hello! Nice to meet you.
[While Killua might be trying to hide his excitement, Gon is the exact opposite and doesn't even attempt to reign it in. His eyes are taking in everything - to the new person in front of him and the table of food in the background.]
When Killua told me where he'd been, I had to come see it. [Not to mention that Killua had invited him, had wanted him to come. It was a BIG DEAL in Gon's opinion.] Ah, you did mention him! I'd like to hear some stories, if you wouldn't mind.

Well met, Gon. Maglor, at your service. I am glad to see you both reunited! I hope you do enjoy what you find here - tis a sight better than what we first encounter, for a certainty!

Indeed he was normally a very cautious individual thanks to his upbringing and was a natural skeptic, it was a huge step for him to have managed to make something of friends here. Especially ones he was actually happy to call as such, though not about to tell Gon that Maglor was more of a father figure than a friend. He almost felt that if he elaborated further, it'd cause the other's already near-blinding smile to get worse with that endless amount of happiness Gon was essentially known for.
Putting his hands into his pockets, Killua then nodded easily in agreement when Gon expressed his interest in hearing some of those stories, but also to Maglor's last comment about things being different now. ]
He's right. Where we were before was totally different. It had these stone walls and no windows or anything, so this is much better than that.
[ Okay so he's still bitter about having punched the wall and it'd burnt him his first day here. ]
Would you be willing to tell me and Gon that one story? The one about Frodo and the nine rings?

He turns a grin on Killua with a pleased but quiet "hee" sound, not even thinking about that slight tint of color on the other boy's face. Despite the fact that they haven't been friends terribly long, Gon is already aware of how difficult it is for him to consider allowing someone to get close to him. Killua was naturally wary of every person to a point, never willing to trust another person easily. Usually, it was Gon who jumped headfirst into trusting a stranger so to learn that his friend had gotten close to others (without help) is a Big Deal to him.
Though the description causes his head to tilt curiously.]
You couldn't just break out?
[With Killua's natural strength alone, stone walls shouldn't be enough to trap him for long.
He raises his hand high as if answering a question in school... not that he's ever been to school.]
I'd like to hear that one, if you wouldn't mind.

None of us was at our full strength. We are still not, I think.
[ He smiles and ruffles Killua's hair ]
I did promise you that one, didn't I? Alright.
Come and sit down. I fear I still have no harp, and without my true skill I cannot show you as I might have done, but hopefully your imaginations will do the rest.
