WEEK 1

WEEK 1

[You now know why you're here, Titled. The question now is, is there a way to get out of here without invoking the rules? What will those who brought you here do to get you to kill?

Time will tell.

There are fifteen strangers in this place.]
incrediblystressedout: (when the reference is just right)

Trust me, if they had something like this where I come from, I'd have traded my consoles in for quarters in a second. It doesn't look like it's 100% "legit" dancing or whatever, but still, this is a solid two out of three of my main interests in one thing.
foolishjustice: (May I help you?)

[personal profile] foolishjustice 2017-11-28 05:47 am (UTC)(link)
They're common fixtures of malls, where I'm from. Not that I've ever played, myself...I'm far too busy with school and work for such distractions when I'm out shopping.
incrediblystressedout: (this is fine)

You're um...sorry if I'm assuming, but you're Japanese, right? I've heard the arcades over there are incredible! Which makes sense when you consider that all the major video game companies are...sorry. I'm rambling about stuff you know better than me.

Hi, I'm Joey.
foolishjustice: (May I help you?)

[personal profile] foolishjustice 2017-11-28 06:50 pm (UTC)(link)
That's right, I'm from Toyko. We do have some impressive arcades, yes, though...I'm afraid I can't speak much to the specifics. I've only ever seen them from the outside.

[He gives a slight nod.]

My name is Goro Akechi.
incrediblystressedout: (is this the right pose for a 90's girl?)

[personal profile] incrediblystressedout 2017-11-29 06:11 am (UTC)(link)
Huh. It sounds like you're already overworking yourself a little, but you don't look much older than me...

[Neither does her babysitter, but she's at least an adult on paper. Although she might not have been when she started working at the lab.]
foolishjustice: (Don't mind me.)

The life of a high school detective is a busy one. Of course, it might be easier if I could escape so much media attention.

[He laughs a little awkwardly. He did not ask to be a celebrity, why this...]
incrediblystressedout: (this is fine)

[personal profile] incrediblystressedout 2017-11-30 05:56 am (UTC)(link)
High school detective sounds pretty newsworthy to me. Heck, it's more like something I'd expect from a cool TV show than reality, but I've met a couple of magical witches today so I'm not going to start calling other peoples' careers unreasonable.
foolishjustice: (My mistake.)

[personal profile] foolishjustice 2017-11-30 05:43 pm (UTC)(link)
It's not as if I'm the first, Shirogane-san was even younger than myself when she solved her most difficult case. But I suppose we are rare enough for the media to latch on to us...

[The media, and its consumers. There's a reason 'rabid fans' is listed on his dislikes.]
incrediblystressedout: (this is fine)

[personal profile] incrediblystressedout 2017-11-30 06:30 pm (UTC)(link)
So is this like a new thing in Japan? I don't really keep up with international news that isn't "by some miracle, a game I actually want is getting imported".
foolishjustice: (May I help you?)

[personal profile] foolishjustice 2017-12-03 03:47 am (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't precisely call it a trend...Shirogane-san and myself are the only ones I'm aware of. Well, I can't say she didn't inspire me, to a degree, but it's mostly simply a case of two high school students choosing to pursue a more difficult part-time career than most.
incrediblystressedout: (thrill 'em with daylight)

[personal profile] incrediblystressedout 2017-12-03 11:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeeeeah. No kidding. Well, it's an important job, that's for sure. Going to show all those jaded adults what a kid can d...

...wait you're like 18, aren't you? That'd be completely reasonable in the US, actually. Not that it isn't still an exciting job!
foolishjustice: (May I help you?)

[personal profile] foolishjustice 2017-12-06 06:32 am (UTC)(link)
Actually, the age of majority in Japan is twenty. By my country's standards, I am still considered a child. Besides, it's not as though I only just began my career, I've been a detective for a few years now.
incrediblystressedout: (is this the right pose for a 90's girl?)

[personal profile] incrediblystressedout 2017-12-06 03:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh yeah? Wow.

Honestly, I'm going to go ahead and say anyone who does a murder when we have someone that talented at being a detective around is pretty dumb.
foolishjustice: (Shall I explain?)

[personal profile] foolishjustice 2017-12-06 08:13 pm (UTC)(link)
I appreciate your vote of confidence. I am certainly hoping my presence deters anyone who might be considering attempting murder, even if there does seem to be at least one person who doubts the truth of that claim.

[But what are the odds that that one person will do a murder, right?]
