I come here pretty well-provided-for in terms of money and things. Not everyone has that, I guess. And not everyone has magic to cover for their problems, either.

Then again, if everyone's being honest, I don't think there's anyone who seems to be desperate for cash, so maybe this isn't something to worry about?

... I really hope it isn't, but it doesn't change the fact I'm going to judge them to not coming to the rest of us for help or bringing their situation forward. Surely there would be something we could do, as I said.

Well, I won't judge you for judging, but I'm pretty sure the last thing we should be doing is ticking each other off when we need to be ticked off at the guy who sent the message. Right?

The fact remains that if we're all going to be here, we should definitely work together. And they should be honest about what problems they have, if any. Whoever... might go for this, I mean.

Solutions can't be thought up unless we all talk about the problem, after all. We have to know it exists.

I absolutely agree. We're not exactly all friends here, but having a problem and not saying anything isn't a good basis for any kind of relationship. Or not getting eaten by zombies.

... I should hope no one gets eaten by zombies, raising the undead is an absolutely huge rulebreaker.

Of course, my students did it once anyway and somehow it turned out well, but... not every case is like that!

Okay...I'm probably going to regret asking, but I have to know now. How the heck does raising the undead ever turn out well?

When the undead person turned out to die before he could see the kind of person his daughter became, and he spent most of his afterlife worrying about her, because he had regrets...

[ A small pause. ]

I feel I should mention that the three students responsible, which I am ashamed to say I tutor one of them, didn't mean to raise the old man, it's just that they accidentally broke a tombstone, one tried to use a repair potion on it to fix it outside during the field trip they were on... even though magical item use was expressly forbidden... and then the other had a very rare poisonous mushroom get knocked out of her hand into the potion...

[ ... Her students... sure get up to some crazy shit. ]

In the end, instead of the usual horrible punishment, they got off reasonably light, because the Headmistress was able to reunite with her father and both of them had a really good talk.

[She never considered that side of necromancy before. Talking to a dead parent.]

It did, although they got no end of lecturing over it. Said zombie rampaged around the city for awhile because he couldn't recall what he was looking for, at first.

[ She sighs a bit. ]

I guess that would happen, wouldn't it. I've never heard of a zombie remembering anything, let alone remembering right off. Then again, I thought zombies were fake...

Joey-chan, no one's going to just flat-out say they're tempted by this.

I mean, I'm still fighting every urge I have to judge 'em if they are.=

I mean, they could. We've got some incredibly helpful people here, and I'd rather someone be honest about considering killing me for money than lie about considering killing me for money. I think. It hasn't really come up before.

The rules said that the killer has to get away with their murder, though.
