WEEK 1

WEEK 1

[You now know why you're here, Titled. The question now is, is there a way to get out of here without invoking the rules? What will those who brought you here do to get you to kill?

Time will tell.

There are fifteen strangers in this place.]

Well, how do you define kindness? Caring for others to a degree that they are provided with all necessities should be a baseline expectations of humanity that we are tragically neglecting. Is it kind to do that?

Or is it kind to go further?

[ She doesn't actually have an answer to this herself, 'kindness' is just not something she's specifically thought about since starting to feels strongly on social issues. ]

Neither one of those. Not that you're completely off base with either. [ Here, he closes his eyes. ] Kindness is when you do something you don't have to. It's when you give someone something for no reason other than you want to, or when you choose to share what you have. It doesn't matter if it's a lot or a little, what matters is that you want to do it. And no one here made you open your door. Sure, you can think it was your duty or you would be negligent if you didn't, but there's more to it than that.

You're letting people into your room, into your life. ... you know. Thinking of it like that, I think it means there's trust in what you're doing, too. [ And he smiles! ] So, thanks for trusting me. ... and for the record? I trust everyone here, too.

[ That's... quite a speech. Having her rebellion, her uncaring nature, redefined in such a way is... well, refreshing? People are superficial creatures and Wake has nothing but superficial things to judge her by, but still... ]

That's a bit careless, don't you think? Wanting to believe may be seen as honorable, but you've known everyone for less than a week.
