Speaking of wedding apparel...

[So when Akechi runs into Kurama in the wedding apparel section, it seems he's already found his. You can tell it fits him because he's wearing it.]

How are you doing at this game, Akechi-san? I would only expect a detective to be fairly good at it, and you're a motivated sort of person.

[Akechi's found one of his own, paired with a bright red tie to add some color. He also looks like he's in a very good mood, with his smile seeming much more relaxed than usual.]

Quite well. I don't believe I'll have to worry particularly much about funds for a little while. How are you managing?

[Kurama is pleased to see it! The game may be a bit absurd, and also may be a distraction by their captors, but it's fun in a way and they need that nearly as much as the money.]

Well enough. My new clothes alone net me quite a tidy sum. I should have more than enough to support myself for a while.

That's good to hear. I'm not certain what they have in mind for the prizes for first and second place, or if they would be worth the effort alone, but the monetary prizes are well worth it. And, to be quite honest, this is actually kind of fun.

[Kurama smiles a little, hands tucked into his pockets. It is good to see Akechi in such high spirits. It should help morale, really, since he's taken such an obvious leadership position.]

There have definitely been some entertaining moments, it's true. I considered trying for a video game high score, but I'm afraid I lost some time petting the cats. They did count as Kurusu-san's favorite thing, in my defense.

[The comment about the cats earns a full laugh. It seems like his high spirits have him even more energetic than normal.]

I can't really say I'm surprised. He has a pet cat that he ordinarily takes with him nearly everywhere. In fact, I strongly suspect he even smuggles it into class with him.

Ah, but don't tell anyone about that. I don't think either of the teachers here would be pleased to hear that sort of thing.

[Akechi gets a brighter smile in return for his laugh! Kurama lifts a finger and presses it over his lips in a shushing gesture, eyes sparkling with a touch of mischief.]

I promise you Kurusu-san's secrets are safe with me, Akechi-san.

It is kind of adorable, isn't it? He must be quite fond of that cat, to carry it in his bag all day simply so it can accompany him.

Shall I tell him you find him adorable, Akechi-san? [The question is quite unashamedly trollingteasing, that spark of mischief growing brighter for a moment.]

I'm sure he would find that very interesting.

[Slight clearing of the throat. Is he blushing a bit? Maybe.]

I don't know what you're attempting to imply, Shuuichi-san.

[Any and all blushing will only feed the troll.]

Implying? I would never, Akechi-san. I was only considering that Kurusu-san seems to value your opinion of him quite highly.

I actually have my doubts about that. Akira-kun isn't particularly the sort to be concerned with others' opinions of him. He most likely considers it enough to know that I consider him a friend.

Really? That wasn't the impression I got at all. But then, surely you know Kurusu-san better than I do.
