So you were thinking of creating a magical weapon based off of that toy?

With magic, you can only use it while very near a ley line or a Sorcerer's Stone. With my magical ley line router, you could use it anywhere--it would tap into the nearest ley line and there you go. As for this toy... I dunno. Maybe.

[ A magic gun would be fun. ]

There's a student at Luna Nova who also makes things like these. She's probably already made one.

Luna Nova sounds like quite the interesting place. I'm starting to wonder if I should ask for a full explanation of what I should expect if I'm able to take Ursula-san up on her offer of visiting.

Mm, Luna Nova's an all-girls school. Doesn't mean it can't have visitors. Wizards are rarer in our world, magic mostly appears in women. But really, it's mostly just a school like any other. We just gear toward refining the ability to use magic. Like, a girl may be fantastic at flying a broom, or culinary magic, but wasn't really taught much about numerology or even star-reading.

[ So basically it covers what a girl might not learn at home and give her the necessary broad knowledge base for being a witch. ]
