WEEK 3

WEEK 3

[Once everyone has gotten out of the elevator, those who go to look for Akira and Kurama will find that they have been put into one of their rooms, together, safely tucked into bed with a glass of milk for each of them. And - aside from the bruises of being suctioned into a death cylinder and tranquilized with some very strong drugs - they are alive and unharmed.

Naturally, this means that Akira and Kurama are the first to experience the dreams, but everyone will experience them, once they finally fall asleep, for good and ill.

Despite everything, too, the survivors will find many other new things facing them as they wake up. A new evolution for their powers, a new wing...and a new rule, updated after the execution. The profiles have also been updated, to reflect the Titled's ever-dwindling numbers.

This is going to be a long week, that's for sure.

There are ten strangers left in this place.

((OOC: Don't forget to do Activity Check along with memory regains, everyone!))

[Well, if he doesn't want to believe the truth, that's his business. It doesn't bother Kurama either way at this point.

Green eyes, dark and a touch angry, shift to look at Britt at the question. He might not be trying to be cruel, but he's certainly going to be honest.]

I don't know that I would say it was your fault. That places all of the blame on your shoulders and really, there's more than enough to go around. Your words, and those who agreed with you, certainly provided the catalyst to convince Goro he could not trust us with the truth.

But then, those of us who disagreed with you should perhaps have done so clearly and loudly. ...and in the end, Goro's choices were still his own.

So we're all to blame for that. Right.

[Yeah, he's willing to believe that. Kind of makes him feel better]

You saw the spirit machine? You think it's for real?

I won't say I find that particularly comforting, but it's what I believe. [The rest of that cup of sake goes down a lot faster than it was before. Kurama pours himself another.]

I did. And I do, at least in regards to it being controlled by the souls of the dead. My main concern is whether or not we might be deceived about which dead. But I hope it's genuine in that regard as well.

...I guess I should...like say I'm sorry or something. [Britt fidgets a bit] Doubt it'll mean much to him.

[Something in Kurama's demeanor softens very subtly at that, whether Britt notices it or not.]

Whether he forgives you for your words or not, I think remorse for causing someone pain is never meaningless, Reid-san.

Yeah. No idea what I'm supposed to say. [He makes a face] I'm not used to apologizing for anything.
byanyother_name: (Totally innocent.)

It shows. But the general consensus is that "I'm sorry" is a good start. [He sips lightly at his sake before shaking his head a little.]

Just be honest, Reid-san. Tell him how you feel about what happened. It's letting go of your pride to apologize in the first place that is the difficult part.
