It definitely is. It's even harder if you're using magic, actually. One time, I was trying to make some cookies, but I was out of sugar, so I tried to substitute some brown sugar for it instead, but the brown sugar ended up becoming salt, and I hadn't realized it until I'd baked the cookies... oh, they turned out so salty the entire batch was completely inedible...
