THE SECOND INVESTIGATION

[Friday morning starts off normal as can be. Or, at least as normal as it can be for a place like this. Especially with the threat, such as it is, of Marie's offer over everyone's head. Surely, though, no one would fall for it. That's what everyone is no doubt convincing themselves of. Unfortunately, the peace of mind is all-too-brief. A loud, piercing, pained scream suddenly echoes through the base - a scream that seems to originate from the onsen.

Whoever is making the noise is in danger. Will - can - anyone get to them in time to save them?]

[ Well C is already here, so he may as well verify the body against the information on the wristband thing. Let's take a look at Rosie's body, starting with his face. ]

[Well, it's stating the obvious, but Seto's body has been cooked by the electricity in the water.]

[ Poached Seto. Great. His favorite. This is highly unpleasant. Well okay, that's obvious. And he obviously died recently, given above, but he's going to be thorough and do a close examination. Behind the ears, his hair, pretty much everywhere. It's not pleasant but SOMEONE has to do it. Anything aside from that stick out as weird? Like random glitter? ]

[There's a foot-shaped bruise forming on Seto's face even as we speak.]

[ Cool cool cool cool alright alright alright.

Gonna try to measure it by hand units here, can he get an estimate of foot size from this or no? ]

[Sadly, no. It's just clear enough to tell it's from a kick, since it's elongated like a foot, but too vague to really measure it.]

[ Damn. All right, well, time to move on from that and check elsewhere. His back, for example. If his face was kicked, he feels like there might be signs elsewhere on his body of some kind of damage or something aside from electrocution. Anything? ]

[There is something, though not on his back.

The fingers on one of Seto's hands is curled in a holding position, frozen in place due to the electricity.]

[ ... Huh. Holding how? Does it look like he was holding something small, or holding something large? Basically is it more closed or more open. ]

[strangerpeople]

[More open.]

[losergod]

[ ... So he was holding something decently big. Good to know.

All right, moving on from that, but making a mental note. He'll take pictures of the body when he's done. What about his legs and feet? Anything there? ]

[There's actually something on one of Seto's shoulders as he finishes the arm examinations.]

[ ... That works too. Let's look at that. What is it? ]

[Several drops of still-fresh blood on Seto's shoulder. They are small dots, but still visible to C.]

[losergod]

[ A pity that he has no way to test this blood. But just to be safe, he's going to check Seto for puncture marks anywhere, see if he can find any. Try to see if it belongs to the victim or our culprit. ]

[strangerpeople]

[There's no sign of any cuts or marks on Seto's body.]

[losergod]

[ All right! Is that it? Is there anything else on his body that might stand out? Mouth, anything else? Eyes? ]

[strangerpeople]

[Not on his body, per see, but would right next to him work as well?]

[losergod]

[ ... Sure, good enough. Let's check it out! ]

[There are two spare arms lying next to Seto's body, mostly submerged in the water.

Their hands are also partly curled.]

[ ... Gonna take a picture of the scene of this and then fish the arms out. That's cool he guesses. He really should be more disturbed by this, but whatever.

How rotted are they? Any obvious wounds on them? ]

[They seem to have b>very recently fallen off, but there's no wounds on them.

And it also looks like that's all in terms of what C is going to find.]
