THE THIRD INVESTIGATION

THE THIRD INVESTIGATION

[As Friday dawns, all seems peaceful. No screaming. No electricity. Nothing in the bathrooms. All is quiet. However, it is a Friday, so there's no guarantee anymore that someone hasn't taken up Marie's offer. Even if they haven't, it's clear time is running out for a guaranteed means of escape. At least, if what Marie claims is true.

It's probably a good idea to look around and check up on people and places before going about one's normal day, regardless. Better safe than sorry, right?]

Passe's body

[personal profile] losergod 2018-08-10 10:49 pm (UTC)(link)
The body: Mister Passepartout was found shirtless with an onsen robe thrown over his torso in the Mecha Repair area. (He was dressed from the torso down, however.)

Once the robe was lifted, we discovered a large bloody, burnt circle on the center of his back. The wound was deep enough to penetrate to his spinal cord. There was also a gash on the back of his cranial region; likely caused by blunt force trauma. This is likely the cause of death, as the spine being severed takes quite some time to kill a person. It would have merely rendered him unable to move.

It is possible this injury was caused by the butt of the laser gun that burned his back. This gun matches the ones in the weapons area.

[ Of course, attached are pictures to this information. ]

Jonathan's... still... alive body???? (cw emeto in links)

Jonathan: his condition is poor. He appears to be concussed and have a nasty gash on his head. I have bandaged the injury and recommend that Mister Morris rest and ingest plenty of fluids, but no solid food until his stomach is more stable. He is very clearly dazed and not in complete control of his faculties.

Furthermore, he seems to be suffering from intense nausea and vomiting as well.

Ideally, he would be given several days to rest and recover from his concussed state, but with the trial coming up, I am not sure that is likely. It seems likely that the same person that attacked Mister Passepartout also attacked him.

[ Pictures of Jonathan in his sorry state are attached. ]

Jonathan's testimony, such as it is

- Due to his concussion, Jonathan's memory is jumbled and missing pieces.
- He left his room to use the bathroom sometime around three in the morning.
- Due to the incidents last week and the week before, he took a whip with him, just in case.
- I received the whip from the same machine that produces our belongings and assorted other things some time ago, Jonathan found me giving it a try. He said it was his family heirloom so I returned it to him.
- The whip is missing, presumably stolen.
- I asked if he remembered meeting Passepartout-san, and that's where his memory failed him. He said "something was wrong" and couldn't recall if he'd met him or not.

The furnace was more full than usual, so I used the gloves on hand to sift out any items of interest. In it, I found Sir Passepartout's clothes, a couple of typed notes asking unknown individuals to meet, a laser bat and other laser weapons, and a charred and what I assume is bloody cannonball. The cannonball was still hot and horribly burned, so the substance was charred and flaky. (x)

there was some huge bloody firebeam fight over here and then I guess water from the sink got on top of the bloodstains afterwards because the water wasn't blorped yet?
