THE THIRD INVESTIGATION

[As Friday dawns, all seems peaceful. No screaming. No electricity. Nothing in the bathrooms. All is quiet. However, it is a Friday, so there's no guarantee anymore that someone hasn't taken up Marie's offer. Even if they haven't, it's clear time is running out for a guaranteed means of escape. At least, if what Marie claims is true.

It's probably a good idea to look around and check up on people and places before going about one's normal day, regardless. Better safe than sorry, right?]

[Okay, other than Jonathan and Passepartout's...everything, what else is there to see in here? Anything immediately noticeable?]

[Unfortunately, there seems to be nothing else outside of the body area.]

How does...Passe look at first glance? As in, does his face look like he feels betrayed, or this is something he expected, or...what, really?]

[There's nothing on his face that indicates anything other than he is dead.

Where else would you like to look?]

[Okay, fine...she doesn't want to do this, but...the picture clearly has something weird going on at the lower back...

What does she see if she lift up his shirt there? Any bruising?

Also, does she need to turn him over or anything? Basically, what position is his body in?]

[Barbara will very quickly notice, first off, that Pass isn't wearing a shirt. In fact, he has an onsen robe thrown over his torso.]

Okay, then what's going on with his lower back? Is it bruised? Burned? Some other third thing?]

[ All right so he's going to start with taking care of Jonathan to the best of his ability, and after that move on the Passe's body to examine that.

[In regards to Jonathan, he's got a nasty gash to the head.]

[ Hoo boy that's gonna need disinfectant. He'll take a picture first and then get out the alcohol and some cloth to treat it.

All right, what else? Might as well check him over for bruising and concussions, 'cause he's worried about that now. ]

[Jonathan is definitely concussed as a result. For one thing, Jonathan is definitely dazed from...whatever happened.]

[ That's Bad. He's going to have to tell them to make sure he rests.

[Nothing else on Jonathan, it looks like, thankfully.

[ Passe's corpse, naturally. Let's sadly look at the dead butler who decidedly did not do it. ]

[Barbara is looking over a few things, but C would at least notice the gash on the back of Pass' head.]

It's not looking very good. Mister Morris is concussed, and that gash across his head is definitely worrisome. I'm treating the open injury, but there's not much I can do for his concussion except recommend that you all get him somewhere safe to rest and make sure he doesn't move too much until tomorrow.

It's possible our killer may have attacked him, as well.

[ Honestly, Jonathan is lucky to be alive. ]

I'm not sure anyone will be allowed to skip the trial.... But I'll stay with him and keep him steady as much as I can.

Do you want me to check the other.... To look over Passepartout-san while you work?

I would prefer to look over the body myself, just in case there's anything fishy medically I can find out. But if you want to help, you're more than welcome to. Someone will need to look after Mister Morris.
