LET THE GAME BEGIN
(SYD -> HNL)
[Well, good going, Yurick and Vita. You dun fucked up. Now it's a murdergame. Still, could be worse. It could be a certain screechy female commander in charge, right?
In any case, you are stuck here. It's frustrating, and as time goes by, being here is going to wear everyone down. Not to mention the scent of those damn leis just won't go away, even after you've tossed them aside. The air permeates with it, and combine that with recycled air that only makes things more irritating and pungent, the limited supply of essentials, the limited space even on this large plane, the horrible electricity situation, *and* the threat of the murdergame now ever-present over everyone's heads?
Things are not fun right now. And as time goes by, it's going to only get worse. It's just a question of how - and whether there's any escape before it becomes too much to bear.]
((OOC: Welcome to the week! We'll be doing things a little differently here - we will have a sub-heading for investigations to happen, where players can send their characters of to find clues. Just head over there and use the OoC map to help guide your characters to major clues if you so wish!
Of course, you can always court disaster for your character, courtesy of the RNG, if you so wish! As a result, there will also be a sub-heading revealing everyone's level of injury, which will start at a default number for everyone (except those already injured coming in, or injuries inflicted before the pilot's call!) at the beginning of the week! This can be raised as you see fit to inflict pain on your character - just remember to TAG ANY COMMENT THREAD FOR THE MODS if you want injury rolls! Just don't go too high - your character may not survive if you do!
GOOD LUCK! And remember - have a nice flight!))
Hope y'all don't mind a momentary threadjack.
[Big words from a guy whose face is a sickly greenish white, but his hand locks around Yurick's wrist steadily enough... only for a moment, though.]
I have to... I can't leave her alone. I'm sorry.
[He brushes past, then. Link's got this, right? If he does, how come Jonathan feels so guilty?]
cw: suicidal imagery
... only one person has to die, right? You want to see blood that badly? Suffering?
[He draws the dagger in one swift motion.]
You won't get a trial, but you'll get your blood! Just let the one I love live!
[And he brings the edge of the blade to his own throat.]

[He raises his voice, scratchy but loud enough to be heard by the group.]
None of us are going to give into despair. Not a one. Monsters feed on despair - monsters like him. As Hylia as my witness, I promise you we will make it through this.

His hands won't stop shaking. There's the tiniest cut on his neck, the kiss of a well-honed blade. He hangs his head, concealing the mark.]
... I'm slowly dying anyway, it doesn't matter.

There's nothing we can do. Someone will commit a murder, and this sick game will go on just the way Jonathan, Vita, and I remember. The motive, the rule that we have to kill and get away with it... it's all the same, Link. If someone doesn't do it, all our loved ones die.

[ He's a bit calmed down now so he couldn't help but say something. ]

[He never wanted to be first in anyone's heart, but it hurts to feel this alone. He won't know what it's like to have someone look at him like he hung the moon in the sky. Even if they did, how long would it last once they discovered they'd have to share his heart with someone else?]
no subject
... Mipha's here.
[He raises his voice again after taking a deep, steadying breath.]
I don't think they'd want us to do it like this.

[ Atsushi shakes his head and steps forwards with a fire in his eyes. ]
I agree. Noone we care about would want us to do things that way.
no subject
[They'll hate him, but they deserve to know. A clean cut, to remove something worthless.]
Every time there was a murder, I manipulated the evidence to try pinning it on someone innocent. Thank the stars it never worked, but I was actively doing something that could've gotten innocent people killed. I'm a traitor, I don't deserve your sympathy.

He's right.
[ Atsushi stepped forwards and something in his face shifted just a little. ]
I... Dazai-san used to work for the Port Mafia and used to kill people, only to become a traitor to them and changed his ways for the better. He helped me when I had nobody else, and gave me a place to go. Even knowing what he used to be like... I never thought anything less of him.
[ This meant a lot, opening up and admitting something like this. A small smile on his face now. ]
So you can try and tell me how you used to be and it's not going to work in pushing me away.

[Yurick finally does slump, too tired to argue anymore. This is how it happened before, when Jonathan and Nagisa stood by him after his betrayal came to light. The more he tries to push people away to protect himself, the further they worm into his heart.]
You'll both end up hurt because of me. But... it's your choice.
no subject
I'm... going to go take him somewhere quiet to sit down for a bit, okay?
[He kneels down to pick up Yurick's dagger and slide it into his belt before standing again, putting an arm around Yurick's back.]
no subject
[ Atsushi remains positive in this regard, then turning to Link when he spoke up and nodding. ]
Alright. I'm... going to come along with you, though.
no subject
The look he gives them is sad but still grateful. He doesn't want to be alone right now.]

He'd been able to do nothing, again. Again. He flees down the corridor like the coward he knows he is, heading for Room 1.]
