(MOCK WEEK INVESTIGATION)
[The storm outside still rages on, several hours later.
Even though it is no longer night, it might as well be with the clouds, which have started to take on strange colors within their shadows. It is not comforting to know that the sun will probably not be out today. Nor is it comforting to know that the threat of death still hangs low on everyone.
Sleep was likely hard to get, for those who weren't trying to look deeper into the plane's secrets and truths, and whatever sleep was received was just not enough. Everyone is tired, cranky, angry, scared, and on edge, while the snakes continue to be an ever-present threat.
So, as 7 am comes, and people begin to move again, or at least move elsewhere, trying to be mindful of the snakes.
One of your number has already died, along with three hostages.
Will there be more to come?
There is only one way to find out.]

[ Especially considering there's a couple people in specific he'd like to check up on first. Such as Yurick and Hiyori. So with that in mind, he finds something small that he can snack on and opens it up quickly. ]
Perhaps you'd like to join me when I do? Two pairs of eyes are better than one, a-after all.

[ He does start eating what he'd grabbed; more of a simple little trail mix thing over anything else. Since it is quick and easy to get through. ]
There's a few people i'd like to check up on first and then maybe taking a look around the plane wouldn't hurt.

[She gestures with her own taser.]
If nothing else, this should dissuade any snakes that have gotten hungry overnight.

[ There was one in his room earlier so maybe he should get that. ]
I'll be right back, then.
[ He runs back to his room, rifles through his amenity kit again and takes out the taser. Once he has this, he goes back to where Beatrice is. ]
There. I'm good to go now. I've... never had to use one of these before now, though.

[Sorry if you didn't hear Hex come in, she...moves remarkably quietly by default, given her heels.]
I've never seen something like that before this past second.

Gah--! Yeah... they must be if they have them equipped on the planes. Especially since they have them in the little amenity kits in our rooms.
[ Yeah he's got this. He's getting calmer now. This is cool. That just meant more of them were alright. ]

[...Speaking of powers, her mask sure did just change in the split second it was obscured by her hand.]

Oho, I wouldn't need one either if I had my usual complement of lovely assistants. Vinea is a nice little demon, but he lacks the...self-defense power of the Stakes of Purgatory.
[As his name is mentioned, Beatrice's imp-thingy familiar comes out from under the cabinets where he was looking for baked goods, curious if he's needed.]

A d-demon?! Where... how is tha... he here?

[Vinea waves.]

[ Awkwardly he waves back at Vinea before looking back to Hex and remembers then what the Captain had said to him yesterday. ]
I... think I know what your power is o-or have an idea of what it is, Miss Hexadecimal.

[She waves a hand dismissively.]
But oooh, what is it?
no subject
[ That's what he picked up on from what the Captain had said to him but he didn't know how well it would work. ]

[ Either way, he looks a bit pensive before shaking his head. ]
It'd be crazy, but useful, yeah. I mean if you could hear something the dead had said or anything... i'd almost want to be selfish and ask about...
[ He wants to say Dazai but he can't say it yet. ]

Bodies, corpses, mortal shells, cadavers...there's a surprisingly large number of words for something most people aren't comfortable talking about. What do you call the physical form you inhabit, Ms. Hexadecimal? Normally or currently.

[ Looking a bit bothered by this talk, Atsushi shook his head then, looking toward Hex as that question was asked. He kind of wanted to know the answer to this as well. ]
