WEEK 3
[You dream.
She sits across from you, hairpin shining like fire, her violet eyes staring at you. She slides a cup of tea in front of you, but not before mixing in a dollop of something thick and red like fire into it.
She encourages you to drink. Insists, even. For some reason, you feel compelled to obey. The taste is that of honey. As you sip, she talks.
"I'm sure you think I'm a monster. You wouldn't be wrong."
She sips her own tea.
"I had a family, once. A long time ago. A husband. Children, though not mine. It was acceptable. I was satisfied. Then I found my true calling. I had to leave them behind."
Her cup slowly returns to its sauce.
"They're gone now." A pause. "Replaced. As is the reason I abandoned them. A Counsel of Peace...the dreams of a Messenger...a curious experiment...love itself. Maybe none of it mattered, in the end. Maybe we will not matter, either. Maybe what we are trying to do will fail after all."
"But...I am still here. And you know what they would say about reckonings in the Neath..."
Your eyes open. Something has changed inside you. You remembered something. You look around, dazed, before you stumble out of your room.
You are docked, again. A new week, a new po-wait. The hell is this. Yes, you can see it's called Spatium Prison, but when you think of Victorian era prisons...well, this is not what were expecting. Are you sure that the Conductor-whose name you somehow now remember as Lilac-didn't end up in the wrong universe or something?
...No, sadly. There are the tourists. Well. This is going to be...a week.
Hopefully everyone will survive this one.
There are 13 strangers left in this place.]

By afternoon she does emerge, however. She visits baggage claim for starters, a distraction that proves interesting for a while, considering her rewards. She probably stands out with them, considering the blood-stained nature of one of them, until she can manage to get them back to her room. I'm sure she wouldn't mind if you wanted to question her about them.
With that taken care of she supposes she should finally get to work. She exits to Spatium Prison, wandering the locations to start mapping out the new location in her notebook. When she needs a break, she stops in the courtyard, sighing deeply. Part of her thinks it would be better to push herself, but... she can't ignore her thoughts forever.]

Re: MONDAY
Which is to say, Ris has not slept in two days and everything is fine.
She can actually be found in the dining car at an ungodly hour of the morning. It's likely the rats have cleaned up most, if not all, of the mess from Proto Man's untimely demise, but here Ris is, trying to see what she can do to help out anyway. It's not like she knows what to do with herself other than her previous duties.
Her focus will likely be over on the staircase, trying to see what she can do to help with all the scuff marks.
Later in the day, Ris tentatively heads out into the prison. She winds up in the Stranger's Wing, and... okay, well, it looks like at least one person likes this setup, because Ris is taking a cell, curling up on the bed, and going the fuck to sleep.
It's still too comfortable and high-class for her, if she's honest, but at this point she's too exhausted to argue the point. It's still a jail cell, in a sense, and that's at least a little closer to what she's used to. (As worrying as that probably is to every other remaining Stranger.)
At some point after normal dinner hours, she'll wake back up and head toward the dining car again, but despite the options at her disposal she seems to just kind of be staring at the ingredients hoping something will make itself.
Everything is fine, and Ris is doing great.]

Well, Zack could remember parts of his dream, and an actual name for once, but...
You can find him sitting in the Dining Car at a reasonable hour of the morning, for once. He's eating sort of slow, distracted by his thoughts.]
Jesus... How the hell did I manage to forget that guy...?
[Uh. Zack. You really need to learn not to talk with your mouth full.
Anyway, after breakfast he figures he might as well explore this week's mysterious location of fun, so he heads out into the Prisoner's wing and-]
What the...? [Yep. Prison. With actual prisoners in here. Zack figured he would end up in prison one of these days, but not on the outside of the cell! And why do these criminals look so damn comfy?] Are ya kidding me?! What kind of sick place is this?
[Zack has a long history of killing that would surely get him locked up in the high security area if any of the guards found out, so he is definitely not planning to spend too much time off the train this week... He does poke around in the mess hall around lunch time to see what kind of food they get.
Zack is not impressed by the food pills.]
The fuck is this shit? [He pokes a finger at the tiny pill that was put into his hand.] I expected actual food! Not some tiny scraps or anything!

He ends up not eating more than a few bites.
After that? A long, freezing-cold shower. In the prison. Sure, he could have it warm - but he doesn't so much as touch that control. Naturally, he's pale and shaking when he emerges.
He spends the rest of the evening and long into the night flopped on the ground outside. Staring at the sky. Stargazing, maybe, or just homesick. Or none of the above.]

[He's just remembered something important, after all.]
[He's easily seen in the dining car, eating meals - he might as well take advantage of full meals and nice food while he can. Slowly he moves to look at the prison, but it doesn't take him too long of walking through the animal pen to get unnerved.]
[The rest of the day - until dinner, at least - he can be found in the library in the prison, before heading back to the lounge on the car for a drink.]

So it meant he started with checking out the library, where he ended up sitting down in front of one of the computers. A hand reaching out and touching the screen, there's something sort of melancholy on his face for a second or two. ]
...If these were more recent, it'd be like being at work...
[ Trying not to dwell on that train of thought, he then moved on and eventually can be found near the Tourist Wing, but not quite going in. More like just observing from the outside with an almost blank look on his face. Trying to figure something out, and sure enough, mutters something he's sure is mostly to himself. ]
Are these people insane? Why are they willingly letting themselves get locked up like that?
[ Anyone then wandering around the Courtyard around mid-day can find quite the sight. Mostly just Atsushi with a determined look on his face and seeming focused on practicing fighting moves of some kind. Acting as if he's fighting against an invisible person for the most part.
He's done just lying down and not fighting back so he wants to keep himself in better shape, remembering all the things Kunikida had taught him. That and through all his on the job experiences - including a recent one he remembered - was helping him with this.
Surely he would have better luck training with another person but he hasn't exactly went about asking anyone yet. ]

MOTIVE: Shorter of Breath and One Day Closer to Death
Remember that footage of your friends and loved ones? Well, the feed has changed. Your friends are no longer in cells being miserable and bored. Soldiers have entered their cells, and now, everyone gets to watch their terrified friends and loved ones-or hated ones, in Ris' case-being dragged and pulled out of their rooms.
This is followed by the feed ending, and a message from the Conductor.]
Please meet me in the lounge. Immediately.
[She's in a chair, the pangolin curled around her neck. As with last week, her expression betrays nothing.]
I'm not sure what it is that you did to displease Her Thrice-Renewed Majesty. Maybe it was nothing at all. But, apparently, she does not think you take the situation you are currently in seriously. Thus, she wishes you all to very strongly consider your positions-and the positions of your loved ones.
[She claps her hands together.]
Your friends are being transferred. By the end of the week, they will be ensconced in the Midnight Cells. They are a part of a special prison, where the Empress may transfer Hours from the prisoners to her Throne. Time accelerates within; a minute is like a day; and no one leaves until their bones are gnarled and their hair is white, their lives all but spent. That generally happens within a few weeks at best.
Of course, she is the Empress, and she can do these sort of things to your comrades. The question is whether any of you will decide to do something about it. That is, of course, up to all of you, given it is you who caused the Empress to be so displeased for whatever reason. So-you have until the end of the week to decide to evoke the Little Courtesy. It is the only way to ensure those you care for do not suffer the fate the Empress wishes to invoke on them.
Of course, if you successfully get away with your crime, you are free to leave the train once we get to our final destination, to reunite with them. No Imperial Pardon, not this time-their imprisonment will still be on the record, but they will at least be free. However, if no one on this train dies, well...the next time you see those you just saw taken away...
[She waves a hand dismissively.]
I really don't need to finish that sentence, do I?

[After that, he heads to the armaments car, looking over the weapons. If the need arises again, he could probably operate one without hurting himself... but he's not totally sure.]
[Finally, he parks himself in the lounge with a ball and a ring sitting on the nearby table. Caleb, however, is sitting in a chair with Frumpkin and Tardar Sauce on his lap, looking about as concerned as cats can be. He's already got two empty bottles sitting nearby, and seems to be working on a third.]

WEDNESDAY
DEEP CUT
Clue: Does anyone really know what time it is? (Does anyone really care?...)[Unlike the rest of the prison, the Off-Limits area is quiet. Even the entrance is quiet. It's as if people go out of their way to avoid coming here.
Clearly, there is something in here. Something that the Spatium jailers do not want getting out. Or perhaps it's something it doesn't want getting into.
Either way, there's a clock in there that is supposed to be fixed, and the card is now in the hands of the Strangers. It'll be all too easy to get in.]

Oh, great... [He's eying the Kiss Note with disgust.] I'm actually hoping this thing doesn't work...
[He wants to throw it out, but at the same time it might fall into the wrong hands so... What do.
When he's not figuring that out, he's in the dining car with his tea. Hey, it's food. Why the hell not?
But he still doesn't know how to make tea so he just. Drops the leaves into a cup of boiling water and waits ten minutes. Because that is probably how you make a cup of tea that he's having with some biscuits he found in the mess.
He probably swallowed some leaves... Oh dear.]

Anyone who wants to talk to Tali on the train will have to do so in the dining car, where she's just sort of...staring at her food? She seems to be whispering to herself. She has a strange game board laid out in front of her with a few of its pieces scattered across, but doesn't seem to be paying it much attention.]

During the early part of the afternoon he can be found walking around the prison, finally getting a look around at where they've stopped at. Feel free to bump into him anywhere in there. He'll however, spend most of the early afternoon in the animal pen simply watching the animals.
Later in the afternoon, more toward dinnertime Mithos will go to the baggage claim and find himself with a bundle of .. things. And apparently another animal(?). At least it's not another hell goat.
He received seven bonus coins so he slips those in after and gets even more items, though this time one in particular sticks out to him. It's... none other than Proto's helmet, he's sure. Oof.
During dinnertime he'll be in the dining car looking at the food he's received from the baggage claim, as well as having the majority of the stuff he got from the baggage claim in a pile next to him as well as his new horse(?) just... hanging out. The only exception is the helmet, which is next to Friender as he curls around it next to Mithos' feet.
He ... should eat. But even after days he doesn't really feel like eating. So instead he stares. ]

Meeting? Wild teen party? Who knows.
All this has lead to Charlotte at some point managing to corner most everyone and "casually" mention that she'll have as close to hot music and cold drinks as their circumstances allow, Thursday night in the Lounge Car, drinking age laws be damned and any sort of noise ordinance sent to join them. This is blatantly a meeting, given the paper propped up on the bar reading "We need to all talk, but the walls have ears", but at the same time... she wasn't kidding about the music. It's Strauss and Tchaikovsky and names she doesn't recognize o'clock, where are you at?]
