[It is very early. Very, very early. It's still night, even. Most are probably still asleep.

They will not be asleep for long.

Not after the screaming suddenly starts coming from the voices outside their doors, if they are in the apartment car, in their rooms.]

B____R! FOOT IN MY MOUTH INDEED!

[And certainly not after the big

BOOM

That suddenly rocks the train. There is screeching, moaning, and a flash of great darkness. Everyone, for a moment, is blinded by blackness. There are shouts and screams that echo, no matter where one is. Smoke and begins to fill the hall of the apartment car.

Whatever has happened-it's bad. It's very bad.

And the darkness is starting to clear up...]

[The voices sounded like members of the rat crew. They are not here, though.]

[Well, that's... all of this is worrying, but that old saying about sinking ships comes to mind.

But nevermind that. Was that loud noise so loud it couldn't be determined where it came from, or was it off in a specific direction? The narration was on mobile, and just saw about the dining car, and does this smoke smell of burnt flour?]

[Some of it does, yes. And foods as well.

[Smoke from the Dining Car. Burnt flour, burnt food, burnt something -

She was already running, but she picks up speed as a realization hits. She didn't hear Towa out in the corridor during all this mess, and she'd been the one doing the most with the kitchen.

The Mess is right by the door on the first level, is that where Tali and the others are? Is it the primary source of the smoke?]
