AND THE PEOPLE WHO GAIN THE WORLD
[The time goes down to zero. Vyce's fists clenched.]
. . .You fools.
[He raises a hand, and suddenly, Lala lets out a gasp as she begins to grab at her throat. Green lines begin to glow from within her body as she starts to writhe, before falling to the ground into convulsions.]
For all of your claims and bravado, you still voted to condemn her! You claim to care, you claim she is innocent, you claim to want to take her place, but in the end it never mattered!
THIS is why I cannot trust anyone with my mission! THIS is why YOU would fail in MY shoes! THIS IS WHY I ALONE MUST--
[Suddenly, everyone is thrown to the side as something violently jostles the whole house, Vyce included. Immediately, Lala collapses to the floor, and the glowing lines disappear.]
WHAT THE-
[It actually felt like the house was rammed just then.]

Definitely no ground save for the small brownish orb that is nowhere near the ship.]

....We're on a blimp?
[That's the only thing she can think of that flies.]

Stares at the screen, because what else is she supposed to do?]

...I am sorry, by the way. If I'd have known this was going to happen, I would have stopped it, but I never thought Vyce would ever...why would he do this?
This was entirely unlike him.

People change... Or you didn't realise what they were like in the first place.
[It's no accusatory, not at all. She's just talking from experience.]

This is just...what he did is completely outside what we know of his modus operandi. Him conducting a murdergame with...complete strangers-strangers who have nothing to do with me or the ship or the Entity so far as we can tell!-and then forcing them into murdering each other.
Even if the Entity was involved...he had Jaeris' house, he could have just challenged you like he did me, and if he beat you, that was it. Or he could have just directly come to me, have Jaeris as a hostage by himself!
What caused him to think a damn murdergame was going to accomplish anything?
...
Why him too?

There was someone there also running an entire system of murdergames. Someone who had the idea before Cardia appeared there...someone who before would have no reason to necessarily resort to that kind of decision, regardless of their motivation.

So Vyce is the third person to start this? And before that you and him were trapped in one, and before that someone else?
And Vyce was supposedly doing it to stop this entity... Do you know why the one you were in happened?
R1 spoilers
[A deep breath.]
The mastermind wanted to erase her entire reality. Her reason was...messed up and complicated, she and her ilk thought reality was a prison. Elenwen's game involved killing the gods of her multiverse through proxies-namely us. Her attempt caused space and time to collapse, multiple simultaneous games happened, and...she ultimately almost succeeded.

But isn't delusions the opposite to reality? What could exist if there was no real? Or is that just an elaborate way to say she tried to kill everyone?
[She'd find this familiar if she was from a few hours later.]
Deep dive TES spoilers
Basically they didn’t like the concept that they aren’t perfect and wanted to go back to a state where they didn’t have to deal with lesser beings or deal with the consequences of...you know. Life.
Even it was true, it’s a very self-destructive mindset, as you might have noticed. If you are above everything and you’ll be going back to being an invincible not-thing, what do you care about the suffering you cause to get there, right?
And yeah, that is exactly what she tried to do.

Funny, it seems like everywhere has 'racist dicks' that think they're better and want someone dead... I don't understand it. Isn't the world...worlds harsh enough that there are bigger things to worry about? It solves nothing.
