I don't think you should let the events of the mansion deter you from finding out everything you can. You can't say for sure what caused it, but not everything from the past repeats. If it did, I'd not even be here right now to talk to you. But we're both here and we can both work towards a better result than the mansion.

But I do understand your fear. I'm afraid if I go out alone at night that I'll be killed again. I'm afraid that if I let one of you come with me that it won't help enough and whoever I bring will die too and it will be my fault for asking them to protect me. I don't think you should fear your power or consider it useless any more than I should go hide in my house with my husband and not try to learn anything about this place.
