WELCOME ABOARD


[The first sensation you feel is a headache. It's brief, slicing, sharp. It passes soon after you wake up, but it is there nevertheless, and the pain is not easily forgotten. Perhaps your eyes also blur as if roused from a deep sleep; perhaps your tongue also feels off, like you swallowed a bug. It's not pleasant.

More unpleasant, though, is the second sensation that dawns on you all-this is not your bed. This, in fact, is unrecognizable. It is not anywhere you recall coming to, willingly or otherwise. It's a room with a bunk, and there is a strange smell in the air that is hard to ignore.

No, you are no longer home. Any possessions you may have had on you are gone, save your clothing and a strange watch you can't get off, no matter how hard you try. And when you run into the hallway, well-you might find yourself running into others who might be just as confused and scared as you are as the area around you slowly sways, up and down, left and right.

What is this place? Why are you here? Who are all these other people?

[What's wrong with this woman!? Does she know his identity?! No, calm down, Yoshikage Kira. You've never seen her in your life, and Father would have told you if he'd seen her with Josuke and the other miscreants.]

[He was hiding the anxiousness okaaay but he's still giving her a weird look. After turning his head into a wheel earlier, it's generally a little harder to maintain perfect composure under pressure. Still, he calms down more when these are the questions she asked.]

We're on a ship called the "Gigantic", but I don't remember coming here either. Everything was detailed in a card attached to the wall.

It said we've all been brought here to relive something called the "Nonary Game" that's been played on board ships like these more than once. Though what that is remains to be seen, other than a mass abduction.

[ She folds her arms. She takes a sniff of the air - does he smell human? ]

Hmm... [He's not sure what to make of her ego, so he looks her up and down as if to size her up. Kira can't really tell at a glance what she is talking about, other than the horns (strange.) But there's something about a teenage girl with pink hair that makes him feel a pit of uncertainty in his stomach.]

Well, it seems to be a place of significance. It's a sister ship to the Titanic, which sunk in a famous disaster. Likely, this is all to put us in mind of a deadly fate.

[Kira wears cologne so that is probably what she'd smell first! He's human though, unless The Gear affects his scent in any way.]

But no, I remember nothing about coming here. The last thing I remember is being at home... but the details of that are incredibly patchy as well.
