WELCOME ABOARD

[The first sensation you feel is a headache. It's brief, slicing, sharp. It passes soon after you wake up, but it is there nevertheless, and the pain is not easily forgotten. Perhaps your eyes also blur as if roused from a deep sleep; perhaps your tongue also feels off, like you swallowed a bug. It's not pleasant.

More unpleasant, though, is the second sensation that dawns on you all-this is not your bed. This, in fact, is unrecognizable. It is not anywhere you recall coming to, willingly or otherwise. It's a room with a bunk, and there is a strange smell in the air that is hard to ignore.

No, you are no longer home. Any possessions you may have had on you are gone, save your clothing and a strange watch you can't get off, no matter how hard you try. And when you run into the hallway, well-you might find yourself running into others who might be just as confused and scared as you are as the area around you slowly sways, up and down, left and right.

What is this place? Why are you here? Who are all these other people?

...I'm good, but can you tell me what that thing over there is?

[ She points to an indefinite space behind him. If she can just get the padre to turn around, he might be good for something. ]

[ There'd been some strange things he'd been picking up on up until this point, though he masks anything on his mind by simply just blinking a couple times in mild surprise. ]

A lot of this is foreign to me as well but i'll do my best to give you an answer.

[ Sure. That was an opening when he turned around, but he most certainly was listening for even the slightest bit of movement. His posture relaxed and yet not. ]

Just what is it you were looking at over here, hm?

[ Alright, here goes. She doesn't need to drain this bitch dry, not when there's already a short supply of meatsacks on the ship, but she might just as well. He's clearly a man of the cloth, and even if he's not with the Society, it's not a chance Val wants to take.

She's going to head in as fast as she can, go for the jugular-]

[ Ah. So it was like that, hm? He hadn't caught any sight of any real vital signs and she could have passed for a dead body, and now this sure cemented it.

He moved rather quick as well, stepping forwards and then turning around on his heel the opposite way of where she was coming at him. The purpose? His hand is quickly at the back of her neck and within seconds, and in seconds he'll have her on the ground. ]

Goodness, vampire. Did you think I would truly fall for that?

[ Thankfully he's not dumb enough to try and kill her. Not here. Not now. ]

Honestly? It was worth a shot.

[ Roland exhaled a sigh. His head still hurt and there was a lot of unanswered questions he had at the moment, but most of them had to do with HOW he'd even got here and what here happened to be. ]

If you at least assure me you do not intend to try that again, I will let you go.

[ Sure he might be a hunter but again, due to circumstances he was willing to give her another chance. ]

...I'll take it.

[ For now anyway ]

[ True to his word, Roland lets her go and gets back up to his feet properly. ]

If you try to attack me again while we share this room, the next time I act will not be so kind nor will I be quite so willing to let things go. Do you understand?

Ugh, fine, god damn do you have a stick up your ass.

[ A pause and he just blinked a couple of times. ]

I'm afraid I'm not sure what you mean by that, but I understand you're upset. [ A pause. ] Do try to take care of yourself in the mean time.

[ See? He's not completely horrible, Val. Given that he's even leaving her alone for the time being, leaving the room to go check things out. ]
