WEEK 1


[So, once Zero has said his peace, everything is quiet as the week dawns. A new Game. Nonary, Decision, Murder. All three. It doesn't matter. Everyone is here to kill or die. The coin has been tossed, the die is cast. The rules are set; the watches are active.

The question now is, why? Why is this happening? Why you? Surely no one is so desperate to kill on this ship, right? Not when the people onboard are so interesting and varied. Perhaps everyone can get along; perhaps there's a way off the ship without bloodshed. Of course, if there is, it might be be best to be prepared for a long stay-there's no doubt Zero won't make it that easy to escape. Then there's the matter that-apparently-people have new powers they did not possess before, while those the strangers once had are gone. Perhaps it's time to test those out and see what they can do if you're not Kira.

So, let's see what happens this week. Hopefully it will be a peaceful one.

[His Galra senses are screaming at him for eating ash, bleh. It’s like sandpaper!


But he might pick up a hint of rotten eggs in the, uh, aftertaste?]

[ Well, that's interesting.

But he moves on, touching the console at random to see what happens. ]

[DING.

The door leading out to the deck closes with a click, and up pops a Sudoku puzzle.



The clock on the lower-end of the screen says 10:00...9:59...9:58...]

Uh.

What?

[Time’s ticking, Keith.

Maybe you should start solving that there Sudoku.]

[asmanytimes]

[ Yeah, okay. He starts entering numbers, getting some wrong right off the bat. ]

[strangerpeople]

[Thank goodness time isn’t taken off for wrong answers.

Seven minutes left!]

[asmanytimes]

[ He corrects most of them, leaving about two answers wrong. ]

Come on, Keith, think!

[strangerpeople]

[Four minutes.

Tick tock.]

[asmanytimes]

[ He slams his hands and then enters all the correct numbers. ]

[DING..

The console shuts off, and the door out of the incinerator opens.


Good job, Keith.]

[Having seen what begun by licking up the ash and then the doors clanging shut as a console slid up had frozen Akane in place. She's so pale by the time the door opens again that she might be completely bloodloss, and had sunk down to the floor, resting against the wall. When the door clicks open it takes a moment for her to find any words at all.]

Why did you do that??

What, get threatened with death? I was trying to investigate this place.

[ He kneels down in front of her. ]

Are you alright?

[When she looks up at him, her dusky purple eyes are shining with tears.]

Investigating an incinerator? And why did you eat it? Don't you remember what Zero said about what he- she- what they want us to do to each other? What if they did this before? What if there were people who were burned up in there?? And even if there's not, do you really think that makes it safe?

[She is Clearly Traumatized by all this but is also focusing on the practical side of this, apparently.]
