WEEK 1
[So, once Zero has said his peace, everything is quiet as the week dawns. A new Game. Nonary, Decision, Murder. All three. It doesn't matter. Everyone is here to kill or die. The coin has been tossed, the die is cast. The rules are set; the watches are active.
The question now is, why? Why is this happening? Why you? Surely no one is so desperate to kill on this ship, right? Not when the people onboard are so interesting and varied. Perhaps everyone can get along; perhaps there's a way off the ship without bloodshed. Of course, if there is, it might be be best to be prepared for a long stay-there's no doubt Zero won't make it that easy to escape. Then there's the matter that-apparently-people have new powers they did not possess before, while those the strangers once had are gone. Perhaps it's time to test those out and see what they can do
So, let's see what happens this week. Hopefully it will be a peaceful one.
There are currently 19 strangers on this ship.]

[But lmao he's gonna suffer it, though he watches impassively as Roland flinches - he's an adult man, he can handle it.]
Ah, yes...Your duty to the Lord, I assume.
[Moriarty is hardly religious, but, well....kind of an easy assumption to make.]

I doubt it is going to be very forgiving from what I have learnt of Zero this far... however, you are going to be enduring it, then?
[ A bit of his usual brightness shines within his green eyes now, the darkness there having faded away slightly. ]
That is indeed a part of it, but... [ A hand comes up to his rosary around his neck, bringing it up so the older man could see the glittering green gem embedded into the center of the cross. ] On my title as Roland of Jasper, it is my duty as a Paladin within the Chasseurs to take down vampires and protect the people from harm.

[Definitely nothing so noble - more his own curiosity on how far Zero will go.
ALSO DAMN, JUST SAY IT OUT LOUD??? OKAY??? He hadn't heard of that particular branch within the church, but he also only had about the topical information about it tbh.]
Ah, I had assumed from your willingness to dispense with being called 'Father.' Your branch then specifically hunts down Dead Apostles, if I haven't missed my mark?

[ He had no problems just coming out with it due to his very honest nature and how he regarded situations. It was best to state things up front so there was little one could use against you. ]
That's a word I admit I haven't heard when referring to vampires. [ He hummed a bit in thought briefly. The older man was taking things in stride surprisingly well and was quite calm about this, which was nice. ] The ones I refer to are certainly not dead, however.
[ Trying to explain the way things worked could be a bit cumbersome but after that lovely conversation about the television and how things worked? He'd make the effort for you, sir! ]

[Sighs heavily, and waves a hand.]
Is also extremely complicated. I suspected it before, but it seems we come from two different worlds, even if some similarities still persist - such as the Church being responsible for hunting down vampires and overseeing the moonlit world.
[Tl;dr why nasuverse gotta be like this, man.]
I wouldn't mind learning more about vampires in your world, if you'd care to talk about them.

I didn't even think there was the possibility of a world that could be so close to mine and yet completely different! Perhaps you'll do me the pleasure of speaking of your world in more depth sometime?
[ O h. Now THIS is something he has a bit of experience in, dealing with his world's vampires on a regular basis. He can't help but grin a little, laughing softly. ]
I don't mind telling you about them at all! Vampires really are quite similar to humans in most ways, though they drink blood and have eyes that turn red which allow them the ability to be able to alter the World Formulas. Doing so grants them super strength, speed and the use of magic.
[ Despite being new to speaking to people from different worlds entirely, Roland finds he's adjusting. Which means easily continuing on to clarify some parts someone from his world wouldn't know about. ]
The World Formula was said to be a formula that provided structure for everything in existence. An alchemist discovered it and tried to alter it on his own but failed, and that became known as the Babel Incident as it notably created Vampires and Astermite.

[He listens, though Roland probably sees his eyebrows go up at the mention of a World Formula. Not only does that sound like his great love, math, but also a little bit akin to the way his own world works.]
How facinating....That is also a bit similar, but in my world - as I understand it, 'True' Vampires are actually akin to Elementals, as they come from the world itself. The Dead Apostles I was speaking of are Humans that became as such through differing means. Drinking blood and red eyes appears to be a constant regardless of world! Wahahaha!
[Hmmm...]
So this World Formula is what provides your world's structure...Again, we're quite similar, only in mine it is called the 'Texture' that the current dominant species holds sway over.
[There's also the whole thing about Mystery and Rhongomyniad being the thing literally pinning the current Texture to the earth, but he doesn't have to go into that.]
no subject
That will absolutely be fine with me. I will gladly learn about anything that I can.
[ In turn, he's also VERY happy to learn about the distinctions between what he knows about vampires and what they are for the older man in his world. Only by the time he reached the last part did he offer a laugh and a nod of his head. ]
It appears so! Though the differences in what classifies vampires between 'true' and the 'apostles' is quite interesting!
[ Granted there were differences but the similarities were also quite mind boggling in itself. Definitively making him want to learn more about the world itself where it was actually possible. ]
Texture? What a unique term for something that relates to your world itself. [ He hummed a bit to himself. ] It could be said for many of the terms you've used yourself, and it only serves to make me all the more curious.

[Seriously, he's half convinced magus have a competition for 'most outlandish name' at this point.]
I never poked my nose into mage business overmuch, given how dangerous it could be.
[Dislikes: Mages]

[ Even he could tell this was one of those touchy subjects and he wasn't great at reading the room all that much. ]
Unusual terms aside, I'm just happy to learn more about how things in different worlds work. [ He laughed a little, all smiles. ] Considering prior to this game I didn't even know there were other worlds outside of my own at all.
