WEEK 1


[So, once Zero has said his peace, everything is quiet as the week dawns. A new Game. Nonary, Decision, Murder. All three. It doesn't matter. Everyone is here to kill or die. The coin has been tossed, the die is cast. The rules are set; the watches are active.

The question now is, why? Why is this happening? Why you? Surely no one is so desperate to kill on this ship, right? Not when the people onboard are so interesting and varied. Perhaps everyone can get along; perhaps there's a way off the ship without bloodshed. Of course, if there is, it might be be best to be prepared for a long stay-there's no doubt Zero won't make it that easy to escape. Then there's the matter that-apparently-people have new powers they did not possess before, while those the strangers once had are gone. Perhaps it's time to test those out and see what they can do if you're not Kira.

So, let's see what happens this week. Hopefully it will be a peaceful one.

[ She settles down onto the floor on her knees to eat, completely at peace with doing this right in a thoroughfare of the ship. ]

Why does thou think that is? Are we to be as wolves among these sheep for the entertainment of our captor? Or are we to be hunted by those that revile our kind?

I can imagine either...or both.

[He sits on the floor, legs crossed, to eat.]

A couple 'monsters' that are used to killing...but we've also had our powers messed with. It's an even playing field, perfect for devil hunters to make a move.

[ She narrows her eyes when he says their powers have been messed with. ]

Does thou know of any devil hunters amongst our numbers? Mortals now jumped up with abilities beyond their usual ken be one matter, but devil hunters?

None that have tipped their hands...yet. But I haven't exactly been advertising the fact that magic isn't working here.

[ Beat. Does he think there's a kinship between them as devils? Hm. ]

What is thine opinion on cats?

Because I figured you'd already know. It's glaringly obvious, right?

[The question surprises him a bit, and he hums as he chews.]

Cats? Cute, I guess...they make good familiars. And I can't say I don't empathize with them. People keep comparing me.

[...Possibly in part because the way his tail twitches and flicks is much like a restless cat.]

[ Not.

She... could see that. Not only because his tail is twitching, but because he seems to be happily eating the sashimi. ]

Would thou eat a cat? Not because thou must, but simply because thou could.

Nah, not if I didn't have to. I mostly prefer livestock and game animals...and eating something just because you can reeks of insecurity.

[Or pettiness, as is the case with devils who gorge themselves on humans just because 'the weak deserve to be devoured'.]
