It's quiet on the HMHS Gigantic. No birds sing, no sun shines, and everyone's still stuck with the threat of death. Even if the threat of death involves a ticket to a theme park. And a cheeseburger. Indeed, people went to bed last night confident in their belief that no one would ever kill for something so paltry.

Seriously, a cheeseburger. It's something people can make in ten minutes.

Anyways, it's time to wake up, and go through the motions of the day as usual.

And promptly freezing as she surveys the scene because her mind is going somewhere else entirely.]

[Ritsu.exe has encountered an error and needs to close.]

[She'll get herself rebooted after a little while... Okay. Time to be useful.

Time to investigate the counters. See if she can find anything that might indicate an explosive trap setup, that kind of thing. The others seem to have the chunks covered.]

[No, but there are signs something having exploded regardless-there's shrapnel in the counters and cabinets.]

[Well! She knows a thing or two about bombs and bullets. You know, being an artillery unit.

Shrapnel often consists of things like nails, ball bearings, grapeshot, needles, casing shards, and other small bits of metal.

Do we have any identifiable objects among the debris?]

[She can barely look at the body. She wants to scream. She wants to throw up. But they don't even know who this is yet (the head is missing and she wants to scream again) so she forces herself to look through the blood for the watch.]

The bad news is that it’s attached to a severed arm.]

She lets out a little sob but still is going to reach out to find out if it comes off now and also see if the display is working, and what is on it if so.]

What sort of shrapnel are we talking about? He's just going to pull a few pieces out to get a better look at them.

Also, in Gai's line of work, he's seen plenty of explosions and what they can do to bodies. Does this leg look like it was severed as a result of something like that?]

[ Okay, with the fridge being checked by Hermes and other folks investigating the carnage, what looks out of place among the other appliances and kitchen implements?

Namely, does it look like the explosion came from something in the stove or oven or whatever, or something that wasn't part of the kitchen? ]

[Weirdly, nothing looks out of place. The stove and oven, aside from having shrapnel on them, look fine
