THE FIRST TRIAL
(~SK. 3-4)
[When the investigation wraps up, there is a low, rumbling <D O N G, which vibrates throughout the ship. This is followed by the sound of creaking doors opening on the D Deck-the locked doors at the end of the hall.
Zero's voice speaks through the ship once this happens.]
The Investigation has ended. It is time for the Trial. Please proceed into the theater.
I suggest you be quick about it.
[And when you do...you will find a completely empty theater. There is a higher level, but this is currently blocked off by ropes, as is the stage itself. Anyone who attempts to jump the ropes will find themselves knocked on their butts; it seems there's no choice but to go to the podiums, located in the orchestra area of the theater. Notably, the podiums for bunks 6 and 7 are empty, draped with black crinoline and adorned with a photo of the deceased. And in the center of the podiums is...a birthday cake with some confetti surrounding it, along with some drinks. No indication whose birthday it is, but that's pretty much all you'll see in this otherwise very bare, quiet place.
Unless, of course, you're the Eye. If you're the Eye, you will see every seat filled, if not by a root or vine, then by a...thing with glowing red eyes. One of these...things tries to move towards Anya-and immediately, after suddenly glowing red, thunks over sideways, it's head popping off with an almost comical P O P. The majority of the other...things stare at it before resuming their...whatever they're doing, while one of the things sitting next to it looks over, then towards the stage, then slowly hops off the seat and out the door.
Oh, and he doesn't even get his own podium. Aoi and Makima, good luck to you-Roland's been squeezed in between you, forced to take podium 3. You get to also see what he sees.
Once everyone's in place, A large wide screen....screen schlllorps from the stage, and Zero's face pops in once it turns on.]
Welcome to the Trial. Please, enjoy the refreshments. You will be here until you have either convicted the correct culprit-or, the culprit successfully gets away with it. If you have not familiarized yourself with the guidelines, I suggest you do so now.
All evidence is also available for review on your watches, if need be. Take your time, but...do not delay. Justice must be served.
[Well? No reason to delay. Power is dead. Very dead. And now it is time to figure out who would kill her with explogurt for a cheeseburger-if that's even what happened.

I didn't see much else there other than what was left of Power, and...there was some blood? Leading up to the bathrooms and also near the E deck.

I would assume the former to the latter in this case, but there's room for discussion.

He'll fan out the pictures he took, taking a sip before beginning to present his findings like he's comfortably at home behind a podium.]
In the Bathrooms, there was a trail of blood from the doorway to the sinks. One could reasonably presume they were left by the murderer, in an attempt to clean up from the undoubtedly messy aftermath.
However, there were also puddles of water and soap in and around the sink, suggesting our killer washed quickly and had no time to get rid of the evidence of their little clean up.
[Then, he pauses.]
I must confess I have no idea what this last piece of evidence could be, but in the farthest corner to the door, there was a strange marking left in blood. It appears like a slightly squiggly circle, with a rectangular shape sticking out of it. At the very least, it was obviously placed there with purpose.
[And now, he'll do a small bow, finishing his little lecture.]
That is all I was able to find during the investigation. Any Questions?

INJURY CHECK
The ladies can feel free to check each other if they'd prefer not to have a man examining them. And since I don't expect anyone here to trust my word when I say that I'm not injured, Brain can go ahead and take a look at me.

CAT HERD?
Um. So, we can discuss feeding Hubert later, but.
Ok, it doesn't look like anyone's injured. At least, not from what killed, uh, Power. So where does that leave us, exactly?
[He frowns.]
So...how do we figure out who did it? What other evidence is there that we can use to figure things out?

VOMIT CHECK
Power-chan's mouth has no trace of vomit or even products used to eliminate its presence. Therefore, I will give you sixty seconds to choose a partner who will smell your breath to verify whether there are traces of such for you. Otherwise, I will do it for you. Relatives will not be allowed. Exceptions will not be made for inorganics. I will submit to the examination myself afterwards.
[The floating sword begin to tick around the middle of the circle over the course of the sixty seconds, like the hand of a clock.]

Catherd V2: The Cat Herdening
[Once everyone has, he clears his throat.]
Sorry, but we ain't makin' much progress. And we don't have all day. Let's try to get a few things straight, alright?
First of all, let's find out what cut off Power's head?
Then, we have to ask about the juice in the kitchen - was that Power?
And then...we have to establish a timeline. My sidekick from my previous game - Shuichi - always laid out the events real clear in a timeline for everyone to see and we busted the culprit every time. We should try that here, too.

[Shouting that above everything else being said.]
You see this?! This was why I didn't want to to do a breath check - even when I'm not breathing in someone's face it goes wrong!
But you know what?! I don't even care, and you want to know why?
You people don't have shit on me!
So my breath is minty, so what?!? Does that mean I blew Power with - what supplies exactly?! Last time I checked, we don't have a 'Build-A-Bomb' workshop or some other bullshit, and even if there was, I'm not smart enough to do that! How could I have killed her?!
You're all grasping at straws, so just-LEAVE ME ALONE!

VOTING
Those around the Eye see another thing combust as it tries to hop onto Anya's podium. Well then.]I believe it is time.
[Everyone's podium schlllllorps to reveal a console. On the console are pictures of everyone's face.]
A simple majority will determine the vote. Easy enough, isn't it? The execution, however...will not be.
[Suddenly, everyone except Anya has a spotlight on them.]
There is one more thing I may have...neglected to mention. The execution will be performed by one of you. If you go through with it, an...appropriate reward will be given; otherwise...the other will benefit from what you would have otherwise deserved.
The one who will execute the voted culprit today will be...
[The spotlights flash, and one light remains, spinning like a roulette. Fast at first, then slowly, until it comes to a full stop on...]
The Blue.
Now. If you would please.

EXECUTION: Poison (Arrow)
And do not worry, Mr. Brain. You will not cause her undue suffering.
I have something perfect in mind for you to use.
[Anya and Brain are immediately schlllllorpedinto the floor as the podium consoles close up. Five seconds later, the curtains on the stage begin to open, and...the backdrop is...terrifying. There are bloody roots and branches all over the back, and on the floor, and in the center of the back is...something moving within the vines. Something lithe, something blood red. Something with glowing red eyes, watching as Anya and Brain both pop back up on stage, covered in blood; whatever drips off of them sinks into the wooden planks, absorbed into them fully.
Anya is shaking. Of course-she is terrified as roots start to tangle up in front of Brain, transforming into a table. Then, with a little schlllorp, a teacup pops up onto the tabletop. Brain's eyes widen as he looks into the cup, but only for a moment. Wordlessly he passes it to Anya, who shakily accepts it, staring at the liquid inside the cup. Her shoulders sag after a moment, and she finally begins to drink it, gagging on whatever the taste is. She takes another sip. Then another.
One of the white animals tries to rush the stage. They get three steps before there is a flash like lightning, leaving little more than a pile of ash.She doesn't finish the whole cup. It doesn't take long for whatever is in there to start taking effect. Anya starts to sag further, her limbs shaking as the cup drops from her hands. Her eyes roll up to the back of her head as she falls sideways, a puddle of drool coming from her mouth as her body rapidly shuts down from the inside. It's more than clear at that point that she's unconscious and will not feel anything of her death throes, and as her body starts to finally still, Brain is schlorrrrrrped back off the stage and back at his podium.
After three minutes, a great D O N G reverberates through the ship, and the theater doors swing open. It is done.
You may all leave, now.
Don't look back.]
