WEEK 3

WEEK 3

[The week begins as last week began. But there's is a great difference-murder. It has happened. Blood has been drawn; it cannot be undone. The Game has made itself known. The Game is paramount. The Game simply is.

As morning dawns, those who were not present with the DEAD lock will find that the doors that were locked are now gone-and a whole new area has finally opened up to them. They will also find that they remember something they had not been able to recall beforehand. The question is, was it worth it?

And-is it you, or is the ship getting...colder as the hours go by? No, it's not just you. By the end of Sunday, the ship has started to dip into freezing temperatures. It might be difficult for people to bundle up-unless you're Brain, who will find his closet inundated with winter clothing that fit him perfectly.

Yup. This is going to be a long week, as if last week wasn't bad enough.

Yeah, you can go and meet him yourself, if you want.

He's got the Dharma collar on, and...I think he's like, guarding the weapon room? Maybe so that's not so easy anymore.

I just took it as an opportunity to make a friend.

So what is it? And Santa Claus?
unpossibilities: BRUUUUH (Kicking butts of thieves + that guy!)

[personal profile] unpossibilities 2023-06-25 05:43 pm (UTC)(link)
...Okay, so. Where I'm from, there's a holiday called Christmas. There's religious stuff about it too where some guy was born that day and he became super important, but the fun stuff is this. Every night on December 25th, a big jolly chubby guy in a red suit with a white beard named Santa Claus gets on his magic sleigh led by reindeer to give gifts to good boys and girls, and coal to bad ones. Normally, he stays at the North Pole, so...basically, the top of the world where it's chilly and freezy.

Polar bears live at the South Pole, which is basically at the bottom of the world. That's why they're 'polar'. They live at one of the poles.

So....these...raindeer.

Are they made of water?
unpossibilities: (So what if a few lives)

[personal profile] unpossibilities 2023-06-25 05:54 pm (UTC)(link)
...No, man. They're like, normal deer. Do you know deer?

They're just special deer you put reins on to ride 'em. Like horses.

[Hermes understands the polar stuff, but...]

It'd be kinda really hard to go around and give presents to an entire universe in a single day unless you're me or Mors- I mean Clockwork. And I think Clockwork has better things to do than to go around giving presents.

Santa is magic. That's how he's super fast. And he doesn't cover the whole universe, I think, just the Earth.

Still, he's magic and runs on the belief of kids, so he probably could cover the universe too.

One of the American air defense forces runs a Santa Tracker every Christmas...

[He's also not going to get into little nuances like how Christmas is usually a romantic holiday where he comes from, despite knowing Hermes would see that as an opportunity for massive hype.]

No, polar bears live on the north pole. Penguins live on the south pole.
unpossibilities: yare yare daze (Begs for help from)

[personal profile] unpossibilities 2023-06-25 06:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Oop? That so? My mistake. Then they do live at the North Pole with Santa.
yesorwoof: (Affection)

[personal profile] yesorwoof 2023-06-25 06:07 pm (UTC)(link)
That's right. Santa Claus is cozy like the other lifeforms on the north pole, where there's a comparatively large amount of land and food. The south pole is a more tranquil environment. That's why the penguins can get by just swimming instead of flying. They have happy families together and not many threats.
