WEEK 3

WEEK 3

[The week begins as last week began. But there's is a great difference-murder. It has happened. Blood has been drawn; it cannot be undone. The Game has made itself known. The Game is paramount. The Game simply is.

As morning dawns, those who were not present with the DEAD lock will find that the doors that were locked are now gone-and a whole new area has finally opened up to them. They will also find that they remember something they had not been able to recall beforehand. The question is, was it worth it?

And-is it you, or is the ship getting...colder as the hours go by? No, it's not just you. By the end of Sunday, the ship has started to dip into freezing temperatures. It might be difficult for people to bundle up-unless you're Brain, who will find his closet inundated with winter clothing that fit him perfectly.

Yup. This is going to be a long week, as if last week wasn't bad enough.

Interesting. I wonder what it is about those particular people that have made their memories the ones that you have recieved.
superstylishsquid: (That's just painful.)

[personal profile] superstylishsquid 2023-06-25 08:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Well...I didn't get anything identifying about the person I was watching through, but I do know why I saw that particular group.

My old master was one of them. The guy I was hoping would catch wind of this and carve Delta to pieces.

[personal profile] lovedthemost 2023-06-25 08:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Your old master? [Brain frowns at that]

So you had someone you knew in there also.
superstylishsquid: (Huh?)

[personal profile] superstylishsquid 2023-06-25 08:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah. He looked...a lot scruffier than I remember, but there was no mistaking him. And it does seem like him to get lazy about shaving.
lovedthemost: (24)

[personal profile] lovedthemost 2023-06-25 08:20 pm (UTC)(link)
So there's also some time passage from when you last remember him to this vision.
superstylishsquid: (Oh yeah...)

[personal profile] superstylishsquid 2023-06-25 08:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, but it's also been a while since I last saw him. Can't say for sure how long, but I think at least a year?
lovedthemost: (29)

[personal profile] lovedthemost 2023-06-25 08:30 pm (UTC)(link)
That is a significant amount of time. A lot can happen in a year.
superstylishsquid: (I don't know what to make of it.)

[personal profile] superstylishsquid 2023-06-25 08:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, and I can't be sure it wasn't even longer. It's...hard to judge time where I've been.
superstylishsquid: (Huh?)

[personal profile] superstylishsquid 2023-06-26 07:27 am (UTC)(link)
I've been in a world sort of...tangential to the human world, and the flow of time isn't always predictable between them. I'd have to explain the entire nature of the world for you to understand why, but the Cliffnotes version is that time can move either faster or slower depending on the exact circumstances.
lovedthemost: (02)

[personal profile] lovedthemost 2023-06-26 07:36 am (UTC)(link)
The Cliffnotes version will suffice for now, though I would be interested to hear a proper version later.

[he considers what information Alastor has shared so far though]

Then, would it be possible that Delta--or Zero, whichever name we're using now--might be manipulating that as well? The flow of time, that is.
superstylishsquid: (I don't know what to make of it.)

[personal profile] superstylishsquid 2023-06-26 07:44 am (UTC)(link)
Could be, yeah. Even if he doesn't have that power himself, there's a whole species of demon that can manipulate time. Find one, absorb its soul, and suddenly time magic is a lot easier.
lovedthemost: (08)

[personal profile] lovedthemost 2023-06-26 07:49 am (UTC)(link)
I see.

Is there anyway to extract souls that have been absorbed?
superstylishsquid: (Huh?)

[personal profile] superstylishsquid 2023-06-26 07:52 am (UTC)(link)
Technically, but it's not exactly something I can do while the soul's user is actively resisting.

You thinking we might need to make use of that time magic ourselves to get back where we want to be?
lovedthemost: (04)

[personal profile] lovedthemost 2023-06-26 07:57 am (UTC)(link)
It's certainly possible. Also whatever magic might have been used to bring us here.
superstylishsquid: (Oh yeah...)

[personal profile] superstylishsquid 2023-06-26 08:02 am (UTC)(link)
That might actually be the easier of the two. It's not my main specialty, but I have something of a knack for manipulating space. If I have some way to find the right worlds, I could probably get to them once my magic is back up and running.
lovedthemost: (08)

[personal profile] lovedthemost 2023-06-26 08:21 am (UTC)(link)
So if we can discover how to restore your magic--and our normal abilities in general--we could escape.
superstylishsquid: (It's pathetic.)

[personal profile] superstylishsquid 2023-06-27 12:23 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah. With my magic intact, I can teleport anywhere I can visualize unless it's in a world that's actively cut off from where I am. We'd already be out of here if that was still working.
lovedthemost: (42)

[personal profile] lovedthemost 2023-06-27 09:58 am (UTC)(link)
In that case, we should make that a priority.
superstylishsquid: (Sorry but you're not funny.)

[personal profile] superstylishsquid 2023-06-27 10:04 am (UTC)(link)
We'll have a better chance against Delta if we manage that, anyway. If he really is a devil now, he's going to be tougher than a typical human...we'll want everyone with superhuman abilities of their own up to spec.
lovedthemost: (36)

[personal profile] lovedthemost 2023-06-27 10:08 am (UTC)(link)
[Brain nods to that]

Then that should be a subject of research, if we can find some way to do so here. Though how much information is possible is debatable.
superstylishsquid: (I'm going to have to beat you now.)

[personal profile] superstylishsquid 2023-06-27 10:20 am (UTC)(link)
If there's any notes on how to fix our problem, I'm sure they're not anywhere we're supposed to have access to. That means we'll have to find a way past some of those locked doors.

Not that I expect anyone to let that stop us, of course.
lovedthemost: (25)

[personal profile] lovedthemost 2023-06-27 10:26 am (UTC)(link)
[Brain's eyes narrow a bit at that]

...that one door has a keyboard. I might not be able to connect with it directly anymore, but there is the possibility I could hack it.
superstylishsquid: (Is that the best you've got?)

[personal profile] superstylishsquid 2023-06-27 10:57 am (UTC)(link)
I've already tested if there's any punishment for entering a wrong X-pass. It'd be time consuming, but there's a possibility we could guess.

[personal profile] lovedthemost 2023-06-27 12:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Beyond just entering random passwords, if I could get into the system, I could possibly discover the ones we need myself.
