WEEK 3

WEEK 3

[The week begins as last week began. But there's is a great difference-murder. It has happened. Blood has been drawn; it cannot be undone. The Game has made itself known. The Game is paramount. The Game simply is.

As morning dawns, those who were not present with the DEAD lock will find that the doors that were locked are now gone-and a whole new area has finally opened up to them. They will also find that they remember something they had not been able to recall beforehand. The question is, was it worth it?

And-is it you, or is the ship getting...colder as the hours go by? No, it's not just you. By the end of Sunday, the ship has started to dip into freezing temperatures. It might be difficult for people to bundle up-unless you're Brain, who will find his closet inundated with winter clothing that fit him perfectly.

Yup. This is going to be a long week, as if last week wasn't bad enough.

Well, one could say that a human born in poverty also has a different perspective from one born into royalty as well. The sum of your experiences makes your viewpoint different from another's, just as much as your species does.

[He gets up, quickly grabbing a pot and handing it over.]

And that's why humans who become demons also end up with perspectives different from living mortals. And also why there's such a major difference between natural demons who were born before Mundus' war, and ones who came after...

[He pours a few cups of milk into the pot and sets it to heat.]

Those of us who remember the days when humans treated us like fell gods to appease instead of monsters to hunt down don't exactly agree with the younger generations that think we should be hunting them to extinction.

Ah yes - the evil gods one would 'pay off', in a sense, to have them turn their attention away from you.

[He'll lean against the counter as they talk, though he's ready to grab anything else Alastor might need.]

Though it is nice to know some of you still have a smidgen of affection for the humans that ultimately abandoned you.

[Since, well. In his world, the Age of Common Sense currently rules, and magical creatures have been forced into isolation if not driven away entirely.]
superstylishsquid: (I don't know what to make of it.)

Or bribe to earn their favor. Did a pretty brisk business in the old days, convincing mortals to make offerings so I'd keep the weather favorable for them.

[So technically, he was considered more of a capricious god than an outright evil one. He shrugs and starts chopping the chocolate into smaller pieces.]

Humans have good reason to be wary of the occult these days. Between demons who go out of their way to kill as many humans as possible and warlocks who sacrifice other mortals for demonic power...
