[The week begins as last week began. But there's is a great difference-murder. It has happened. Blood has been drawn; it cannot be undone. The Game has made itself known. The Game is paramount. The Game simply is.

As morning dawns, those who were not present with the DEAD lock will find that the doors that were locked are now gone-and a whole new area has finally opened up to them. They will also find that they remember something they had not been able to recall beforehand. The question is, was it worth it?

And-is it you, or is the ship getting...colder as the hours go by? No, it's not just you. By the end of Sunday, the ship has started to dip into freezing temperatures. It might be difficult for people to bundle up-unless you're Brain, who will find his closet inundated with winter clothing that fit him perfectly.

Yup. This is going to be a long week, as if last week wasn't bad enough.

[Makima is in the mess hall. She has changed into her long-sleeved white T-shirt and jeans and has the blanket Brain fetched for the blanket fort wrapped around her shoulders. With pockets like those it's clear to see that the Chainsaw Man doll is now safe in her She is exhausted but smug. She has tea. Her throat is sore after the Chainsaw Man voice. She does not have food yet.

She also does not want to waste her question.

There is also a notepad and pencil on the table in front of her. She gestures back and forth between herself and the writing implements with her index finger.]

[She underlined that. Must be serious. Adds something else though.]

[She considers this briefly, and moves to borrow the pen and paper briefly.

Assuming that Makima doesn't object, in a neat list she writes:]

- Who tampered with the scene after Anya and placed the sword there, before it was discovered by the rest of us?
- Is there a way to get off of this ship without more deaths?
- Who is the "her" who Delta has referenced?
- If Delta is not solely responsible for this game, then who is the one who set it in motion?

[Makima waits patiently, but once Akane is done, she makes a point of tearing out some more sheets of paper so Akane can work freely on those instead of borrowing Makima's entire pad. then:]

I take it you're working on wringing more information out of 3 and 4 but I'm still not sure how helpful they would be

[Kaito raises a brow--and then he understands. Oh. Okay.]

How about...askin' what he does to the bodies? You know, maybe then we can get some for-sure perspective on what happens and maybe a name for that....that thing.

[Kaito looks thoughtful, which Makima can respect even though she's not sure about his idea.]

a name might not be good enough. I'm not sure this question would tell us anything more elaborate than "he feeds our tainted souls to the tree"

You might wanna consider asking about something Roland and I figured out after the meeting earlier.

[Alastor hasn't checked his bunk yet, so he's...mostly just disgruntled from the motive and the rain of milkshakes. Why milkshakes? He's sticky and there aren't even any showers.]

Someone among us is the cause of the game. While we have some theories, we don't have anything concrete on how. If this person is a driving force hidden among their victims, or just unfortunately responsible for prompting Zero to do all this.

I hope you understand why I don't want to make our current suspect public knowledge until we have that answer. I don't want to sit through another trial because someone got overzealous and decided to lynch someone who isn't actually an enemy.

[Makima looks like she is seriously regretting her resolution to save her voice.]

if we are to pursue this line of inquiry in any way whatsoever I WILL WAIT. keep this in mind considering the chances of finding a way to avert the upcoming event.
you say you two figured it out. I hope you don't mean this is just speculation like the general likelihood of there being a traitor among us.
because of this risk, I am offering my time to everyone here, but I am reluctant to fully delegate the choice of the question.

It's not speculation, no. Roland encountered in the chapel with his power that said 'one among us is responsible for this game', and one of the dolls I found during that truth 'game' also claimed this was its person's fault.

Still a chance the info's planted to cause infighting, of course. 'S why I want to look into it, and not let anyone do anything impulsive.

Infighting, or an attempt to get us to target one person in particular. Which could mean there's a reason he wants that person out of the way.

It would be an easy way to get the whole of the group to distrust each other, for certain.

[Though he does look a little intrigued by the notion. Was Zero truly among them? If so, he'd have to actually give the mastermind a little more credit than he was before.]

[Makima makes the blatant impatience gesture of chewing the inside of her cheek as she rests it in her hand. She taps the tip of her pencil idly against the paper - perhaps keeping track of the dolls she remembers from the truth game.]

then we wait and investigate ourselves. If something good/bad happens re: motive, we need to focus all our energy on escape where we can afford to leave that person in the past (at least to start) / finding identity of killer and Double Agent (Individual is probably neither of them)
I still think that best question is "what are the titles and functionality examples and full consequences (including incapacitation or death) of any and all methods that exist to restore us to the status on our abilities that, according to our memories when we first woke up on the Gigantic and did not fully recollect the kidnapping process, was the status we had prior to being kidnapped"
Will let us know if we can pursue that method.
If we do not regain our abilities we may really be trapped at the bottom of the ocean in a way that we can't help

I'd been thinking the same thing-- that Zero is just a front for the real mastermind, who is posing as one of us. What better way to learn everything about us than by pretending to be another victim of the game?

[Hermes spends his time mopping up the mess of milkshake on the floor. He does not want to step in it and spend more time cleaning himself. Once he gets into the Mess hall, he sees Makina gesture to the notepad.]

...Is this about that question prize?

[Makima nods proudly, but she decides to scribble over a few words too. Crane your tube neck, Hermes.]

[Hermes does indeed crane his neck to read! Hermes bobs up and down slightly.]

...I...I wanted to know why my doll was blank-why I didn't have anyone in my envelope. Maybe Akane's right and I'm overthinking it, but...

[This was the outcome Kira was hoping for... and he definitely feels like a bullet was dodged when he hears who the runner up was. He is sure the matter of the question will resolve itself in time. For now, he's going to bring a platter of Beef Rouladen to the mess hall. Turns out playing with his food for so long worked up a powerful appetite.... or maybe it was watching Makima at work with her doll, considering he's offering her some right away.]

Otsukare. Have you decided what you're asking yet?

[Makima gives him a delicate wave as he approaches. She puts a finger to her lips and points at the pad - to explain the precaution. Shakes her head, she hasn't decided quite yet. Then... She pauses. When Chainsaw Man said "I could go for some steak after all this" towards the end of the session when she had spent several minutes in silent utter bliss as she repeatedly dressed and bathed the doll, Makima hadn't expected her prayer to be answered quite like this. He's bringing her this really sophisticated plate with the little garnishes and everything... She hasn't seen food like this since arriving. Even her curry that one time is only varied to contain necessary ingredients; stew is impossible to present with perfect control, that was a fine excuse. But this, it's so nicely youshoku style with the little separate sections. It smells so good.

Makima brings her fingertips almost together, not quite praying yet. It's so much. Then she brushes her palm against her cheek, almost biting her lip. Finally she brings her fists together with index fingers pointing up to her collarbone.

"I may?" She mouths.]

[Kira did what came naturally to him when he cooked a meal like this, but his sophisticated plating habits do come from years of setting romantic atmospheres with his string of past girlfriends. Still, the dish itself is fairly simple for how it looks - ultimately it's vegetables wrapped in meat with a little condiment.

Kira rather enjoyed watching her play with the doll in silence... it was definitely a lot more than when she was acting as that chainsaw rube, but the motions of her hands always strike such a balance between delicate and deliberate - it's almost surgeon-like. They fascinate him, so killing game be damned, he is interested to know more about this woman now. But if she needs to rest her voice, Yoshikage Kira still considers himself lucky as ever that she'll be using her pen to communicate.]

[Kira pauses as he lets her help herself. But she won't be able to say anything for a while if she's eating and can only write, so he'll fill the silence himself. There is a small twinkle in his eyes.]

You're quite good at charades. I suppose all of this must be business as usual for you.
