[It is freezing. The temperature? Who knows at this point.

Today is a day for blankets and whatever you can grab to keep yourself warm. It truly seems like there is a winter without end, and that eventually everything will wither and die, including you. So bitter. So harsh. So cruel.

It's not fair. Then again, didn't Zero say life isn't fair? Well, Zero isn't freezing his butt off. Really, it's just too cold on the ship to do much of anything outside of keeping warm. Like, say, murder.



Right? Well. There's only one way to find out. So, what are the Strangers doing as they wake up shivering on this cold, cold day, which may or may not be a Friday according to the calendar?]

[Hermes rushes over to where Alastor was heading and bumps into them. Not literally. Instead, he crashes into a wall after running so fast.]

[Please do not bump into him literally. As is, he jumps and tenses at the sound of Hermes hitting the wall.]

A sparring accident. We were trying to blow off some steam, and things...got out of hand. I knocked him into a wall and I think he hit his head.

[...Hermes LIKES Aoi. He hesitantly reaches out to the unconscious body.]

Is he... dead?

[Luckily for Hermes, he will find that Aoi is still breathing...at least for now.]

Not so far...but I cut him up a bit before he passed out, so I want to patch him up so he doesn't lose too much more blood.

Right... Gauze should help.

[Hermes follows behind, somewhat worried. HERMES, WHAT ARE YOU DOING!? YOU ZOOM AROUND FAST! GO GET SOME GAUZE! IT'LL TAKE LESS THAN 10 SECONDS!]

Yeah. If you could run and get some, it'll be faster than me carrying him all the way up there. I can get the worst bandaged before putting him in a bed.

That wasn't an idle question, it was a suggestion.

[Weeeeeeeeeell.. Considering Hermes likes Aoi...]

OkayOkayFine! I'll get the gauze!

[With that, Hermes zooms off and returns with some gauze.]

[Alastor's put Aoi down at the bottom of the stairs by the time Hermes gets back, and he takes the gauze to start padding and firmly wrapping the wounds. Seems he knows at least some of what to do.]

With how cold it is, I think we'll also need to wrap him in blankets when we get up there. I don't know...too much about hypothermia in mortals, but it can't be good for recovery.

Do I have to get him some blankets, too?

[Hermes, you're a walking, talking heat source with your fireballs.]

There's a spare bed in my room. We can use the blankets from that.

And there should be some in the infirmary, too.

[An inspection of Aoi will find that he's bleeding and bruised, with a noticeable lump on his head. It's more than likely that he has a concussion, and will probably be unconscious for a while.

Alastor also has a few bloody cuts himself, though the violet hued blood doesn't show too well against his purple jumpsuit.]

[Hermes zooms back to the infirmary and returns with the sheets.]

[Gai, meanwhile, is just going to lean down to take a peek at Aoi's pupils to check for a concussion.]

... it looks like he has a concussion, so we shouldn't be surprised if it takes him a while to wake up. As much as I'd like to say we should put him in bed, we should probably keep him with us so that we can keep an eye on him, not to mention make sure he isn't getting cold.

I don't exactly think he's going to be walking...we should at least move him somewhere he won't get stepped on if someone isn't looking where they're going.

[Hermes instinctively looks at the area on the floor directly to the "top" of Aoi's head. He then shakes his head a little. He misses the timer. It's so much easier with it.]

Blue's fun to be around. How long until you humans die of hypothermia?

[Hermes's tone of voice is more like him asking how much effort it will take to keep him from running out of time rather than waiting for his death. In any case, Hermes is actually ready to assist in moving the not!Corpse.]

We can use body heat if needed. We'll just take turns.

[Gai sees absolutely no problems with this.]

Yeah, and I think getting him on something soft will help, too? Depending on how low the incinerator goes, we might even be able to use it to warm blankets.

It's worth a try. Especially if...
