[It's Friday, Friday. Or...something like that. What is up with the calendar in this place?


Anyways, everyone knows what's happened in the past two weeks: someone has died. And, unfortunately, there's no reason to think someone else has not fallen prey to someone who wishes to fulfill the motive. But...maybe you're lucky this time. Maybe someone doesn't have someone they hate enough to kill for. Let's be honest with ourselves-saving someone you love is understandable. Switching with someone you hate? Surely no one would go that far for someone that they don't like.

...Severed by a sword and decided to cook him... I just... someone was truly THIS desperate?

[ Thankfully he knew Alastor wouldn't have done this as he didn't necessary need to 'cook' anything like this before eating it. ]

[Well, he does like his food cooked...but he's been avoiding using the kitchen for things that are visibly people? That's rude.]

Wondering if they were trying to frame me. What I get for telling people what demons prefer to eat...

[He sighs and takes a look around the room. They didn't happen to leave the sword here, did they?]

[ They did not.

There is, however, some things missing. Will he take an inventory? ]

[He will! Time to scour the kitchen for anything out of place. Especially things that could be used as a murder weapon or for butchering a corpse.]

[He will indeed! Is he going to find any missing meat cleavers, perhaps?]

[ No, but the paper towels have been shifted from their place to another part of the counter. ]

You wanna go grab a camera? I'm sure I'm not as unnerved by this as you are.

Hm? I can do that.

[ Though before doing that? He walks up, and gives Alastor a light kiss before smiling and starting out of the room. ]

[ Sure enough, he does go and get a camera to bring back. Still kind of unused to using these things, though. ]

[That kiss does help lift his spirits a little bit. When Roland returns, he reaches to take the camera...and maybe to give his hand a squeeze.]

The paper towels were moved, so it looks like someone made an effort at cleaning up. I wanna take a picture of them before we go to the theater. We should take the leg with us, just in case.

[ Given that someone has died, of course spirits aren't gonna be super high right now but he just felt like it was needed.

He can't help but smile at that brief hand squeeze all the same, before his gaze moved to the paper towel nearby, then back to Alastor. ]

It could help during the trial, I suppose.

[ A pause. Then a sigh. ]

Just.. you may have to carry it for the time being. Not quite sure how I feel about carrying a dismembered limb around with me.

Yeah, I'm fine with that. I kinda liked Brain, but...corpses don't really bother me. The important part isn't the flesh.

It... isn't? I thought that's the part you eat?

[ This seems a lot less macabre to talk about considering this demon in question IS his boyfriend and all. ]

Technically I can eat both, I just usually prefer to take souls as vassals. But what I mean is, the flesh is just meat. It might look like a person, but all it is is a vessel for the conscious soul.

Oh!! Once the soul is gone, what made that person who they are is gone and that's what made so important?
