[It's Friday, Friday. Or...something like that. What is up with the calendar in this place?


Anyways, everyone knows what's happened in the past two weeks: someone has died. And, unfortunately, there's no reason to think someone else has not fallen prey to someone who wishes to fulfill the motive. But...maybe you're lucky this time. Maybe someone doesn't have someone they hate enough to kill for. Let's be honest with ourselves-saving someone you love is understandable. Switching with someone you hate? Surely no one would go that far for someone that they don't like.

When he does get the remains down, he'll see that the face injury is a burn mark. Likewise, he'll see some burn marks on his clothing.]

[Hmmm. Does the burn look like it was done directly with a flame or was it the result of a hot object?]

[Hard to say. It doesn't look like fire made this, though.]

[Electrical burns, perhaps?

Either way, time to check the rest of the body. So, uh, aside from, you know, the missing limbs, what's going on here...]

[If you look at the body or feel around, you'll feel or see some...pooled bruises. near the neck.

It seems like someone tried to take the body down, but...failed. Badly.]

[... are we talking bruises that would be consistent with handprints/a grip? Because if so, Gai is just going to measure them against his own hand.]

[It seems to be that way, though given the other bruising associated with the broken neck, it's not going to be easy to measure the grip.


We can say the polar bear didn't do it, at least?]

And is there anything else in the vicinity of the sofa that looks out of place? If not, he's heading over to the bookshelf.]

[No blood that can be seen.

But as he's getting up, he'll see something with the cushions.]

GONNA USE THE "PHONE A FRIEND" OPTION and call Hubert in for this.]

[Hubert comes when called... but he pauses when he sees Brain's corpse. He looks... pained, and doesn't respond right away to whatever Gai has]
