[Morning breaks. Memories return. And those who ventured to the DEAD have opened the doors. New areas have opened-and as Sunday comes, the survivors will find that their rules have also changed.

Someone is displeased. Now, there is no preventing the bodies from being subsumed by the ship without the offender being punished with death. No more mercy will be given. There will not be a third time the ship is deprived.

What is to happen now? There's still one more floor that seems to be locked. There is still no escape aside from the X-Door. Will more have to die for the X-Door to be opened? It seems like it, sadly. It's clearly just a question of when.

And-what are those skittering and scratching noises? They are behind the walls, on the ceilings, under the floors. They persist all day and all night. And it's not just the skittering-a foghorn sound at midnight and sounds for the whole hours. Beams snap and creak, the ship as a whole shutters and groans, the noises echoing throughout.

For everyone but Hubert, their sleep will not come easy. Only Hubert will find a pair of earplugs for him to use, after all. Of course, this isn't fair, but-isn't that what Zero always says?

[There's no doubt that Kira was interested in evolution. He was the one who prompted Brain to improve his power in the interest of easing that process for everyone. However, learning what they could from Moriarty, Kira still wasn't in a rush to try it. (Certainly not in a group, like Makima did. What she was doing was very conspicuous... even now, it occupies his thoughts.)

However.

Is it not supposed to be triggered by raw killing intent?

Because Kira certainly feels that once he understands what the week's "sub-motive" is, even if for a moment.]

[There's that drive, that finds an answer. The urge to do something. The need to go, go, go, without stopping. To cruise unhindered.

The pair of buzzsaws that appear certainly seem to agree, spinning wheels and giving off sparks. One is ready, waiting, close at each hand.

[The buzzsaws rise into the air, and Kira will find he can sling them about in beautiful rotational symmetry like a whirligig of death. He can control the distance and speed. He can't take off himself, but maybe that's what riding is for.]

[Kira launches the saws off the theatre balcony, watching them spin around in the air. Contrary to his inner rage, he just remarks placidly]

Well, just look at those go.

Can he do a sick wheelie right off the edge?]

[no of course not. What is he, a punk teen? Obviously if he must go bike it will be in complete stationary silence, no riding without a license.]

The moment Kira decides to ride, the saws are back, positioned like he's riding a bike. He can see the sheen of the rest of the vehicle, otherwise invisible, and that he's seated comfortably on it. The saws are revving and raring to go.]

[So. Businessman in his thirties sitting on a motorcycle, huh.... it's as though he's going through a mid-life crisis. Shinobu would probably love it, but as for him, ehhh.

You know what? Kira is just glad he didn't turn into the bike. He really thought that was implied with his unevolved power which was more transformative than either of these.

Although... he can still use his unevolved power at the same time, right? Kira pulls some of the tiny wheels he made from toenails out of his pockets and holds one in his palm, seeing if he can make it spin across his fingers while he sits on this bike.]
