[Morning, Strangers! There's no sun shining, there're no birds singing, the threat of memory loss hangs in the air, and--oh.




That sure is a trail of blood in the D Deck hallway where the bedrooms are. But. I'm sure it's nothing, right?

[Hermes nearly trips as he's walking and blinks.]

...we always...woke upto it before. I...calculate...80% likelihood, someone is...dead again...

[But then, if Hermes doesn't know anything...maybe they do have until the end of the day, before time runs out. Still. Someone went for the burger. They can't assume no one will go for this.]

[Due to Hermes's swiftness, they reach the bio lab quickly. Hermes sets Ritsu on the single scanning bed then will attempt to queue up a whole bunch of scans. Injuries, disease, basically any option available except for the harmful scans like X-Ray.]

Pfffft, no one's been killed! No one would be dumb enough to cuz we have access to the security feeds! But stay right here, I'll. go check things out, okay?

[The scans can happen as Hermes further investigates the tea room. Is anything out of place?]

[ You know there is! Tables and chairs are overturned would be the first thing to notice. ]

[Yeah, that's definitely not the result of any honey badger, even if it IS a demon. Is there any sort of pattern to it, or is it just randomly all over the place?]

[ There appears to be a pathway made out of the various overturned furniture, leading a bit deeper into the room and ending at one particular overturned table. ]

[Hermes rushes up to that overturned table! HERMES MUST LEARN YOUR SECRETS! That do you hide, if anything!?]

[ There's a little saucer down there! How polite! But it isn't doing its job very well because there are crumbs everywhere! A bread blood-trail if you will! Lo, there at the end of it layeth a lonely scone. ]

[Hermes scratches at his front leg, then picks the scone up to examine it further. Are there any bite or other marks in it?]

[ Hermes might not be an expert on these things, but the scone is half-eaten. And why not? It looks pretty pleasant with its flaky crust, icing, and almonds. Who could have abandoned such a fine morsel so cruelly? ]

[There, there half-eaten scone. While the organic that attempted to consume you has abandoned you so carelessly and heartlessly... Hermes shall always be by your side! For he is a supportive individual of healthy and cute and diligent relationships. So fear not! Even though Hermes is not organic, he will make sure he, himself, does not abandon you!

Okay, anything underneath any of the tables?]

But nope! Hermes will be able to notice something as he turns towards the other overturned furniture.

Aside from the scone table, all the furniture seems to be falling vaguely towards the door. ]

[Yeah... Yeah, Hermes noticed that, too. It's weird. Is there something about the door? Hermes examines it on both sides.]

[ Nothing weird about the door, but as Hermes is rolling over towards it, on the path between the furniture he does crunch over something... ]

[ It appears to be a teacup. Don't worry, though, Hermes, it appears like it was probably already in pieces before you passed by. ]

[Man, Hermes must have really been frazzled over finding Ritsu like that, cuz Hermes did not notice that until now. And Hermes is usually one to notice little things like this, He's one to notice where he is zooming around twelve times faster than a car going at top speed. Granted, he's not that fast in real life, but he was in his game!

Weird, though. Hermes will collect the teacup shards as they go straight into his klepto pile. Just kidding! Hermes instead grabs an undisturbed and intact teacup to shove into his closet.]

[Hermes makes one quick last scan before heading back up to the bio room to look at the scan results.]
