[They've been talking non stop and they seem to have made some progress but there's something Camilla noticed that hasn't been brought up.]

We have found quite a bit but I do think we need to ask another question:

Lord Alexis, what do you know about the Dwemer and why would there be experiments on them.

...They are a disappeared race of people, who were more advanced in their brief time than even the races that still live today. They created tools in an attempt to become divine. They disappeared during a massive battle eras ago, apparently after the tools were used.

Arniel found one of the tools used by Kragenac. A tonal instrument called Keening.

I see, did others fear the Dwemer because of this?

Do you know what the Keening was used for?

They did. The Dwemer created animunculi which still work to this day, and other technologies which are still not fully understood to this day.

I have an idea. Using a specific magical focal point, Keening can be used to strike it. The other items would have been used to enhance the effect it would have had on others. Said effect was intended be to...ascend to divinity.

But no one knows if that is what happened.

And they've got the Keening here...dammit, are they planning to destroy the Towers and ascend to godhood? Don't they know that sort of thing only leads to destruction?!

But why go that far though? Unless they want to make the world renew itself, which is completely stupid.

...They do, don't they? Why else would they be destroying these Towers? Unmaking, remember? That's what the suicide note said. You unmake the Towers, you unmake reality.

It's dumb, yeah, totally, but clearly these guys don't care. There's obviously something to gain from destroying the world.

Because that seems to be the only reason to getting what they want apparently. That sounds logical.

But does the Keening have enough power to destroy a Tower now? And if not, is there a way to put power into it?

...Because, people are scared. It's in human nature to fear what they can't control or understand, and to hate what they fear. Most people don't take it past avoiding what scares them, but some people become so obsessed that they have to either tame it...or destroy it.

I don't know. I don't believe it does, certainly not by itself. It can, with the right conditions, cause people to disappear, but to were, I don't know.

Using Kragenac's tools seem to make people disappear. Possibly forever.

Hmm, it doesn't make sense. I never have been the type to try and piece things together but this sounds strange. Why would anyone use tools that would make someone disappear if the people in question are already gone?

[It sounds too weird!]

[They close their eyes, and look at the paper. Its a but slow, but they do their best to translate.]

Is that...supposed to be some kind of prophecy?

...It was written long before us. Normally they aren't, but...this one sounds like it.

No! Every glimpse of the future I've seen before now could be prevented by human actions! I don't care if U-DO himself told me this world destroyer would win, we're going to stop it!

It does not necessarily mean that. Prophecies, I have found, are often both surprisingly literal, at times, as well as deliberately obtuse. The Last Dragonborn is clearly Alexis here, but we do not know if we are the Phantoms, or not. There are others here before us, and others still remaining. It is possible that this is something that happened already and we are witness to the aftermath.
