WAKE UP TIME
[The first thing you feel when you wake up is...nothing.
You don't feel much different at all when you wake up, no doubt from a very pleasant sleep, even if you may not remember what you dreamed of. If anything, you would have thought it was another normal day.
That thought would have vanished the moment you took in your surroundings. This is not your bed, this is definitely not your bedroom, and well, this is definitely not your home. In fact, this place isn't anywhere you've been before.
Before you can question anything much further, your cell phone starts beeping, flashing a message on the screen for a good several minutes, before flashing your profile, also for a few minutes. Yes, now you have a Title, and a power, even if you've never had one before. And yes, you have a cell phone. Even if you didn't have one, and don't know what the hell a cell phone is. You get the feeling you'll need to keep it on you.
The profile fades back to the home page of your phone - don't worry, you can still access your profile, and everyone else's, on that little lime icon if you really want - even though you have so many questions now. (The help button may... attempt to be helpful in that case.) Where the hell are you? Why do you have a Title? And can you get out?
Perhaps, if you're strong enough. But, in any case.
Welcome, Titled.
There are fifteen strangers in this place.]
((OOC: Welcome!
If you haven't filled out the resident profile or current residents information yet, please do so!))

But she does see someone who probably needs help, so. ]
H-hey there, are you all right?
no subject
I-- I'm sorry! Please, d-- don't pay me any mind. It's just.... [A teeny tiny panic attack. Yuuri forces a wavery smile that doesn't reach his eyes.] I just need a moment.
no subject
... You're having anxiety, aren't you. You should try to breathe. Focus on that first, and then deal with whatever's happening second. Whatever might be going on, you're not alone here. All of us were taken here, after all.
[ She'll gingerly place a hand on the edge of the bed, and give him a questioning look. ]
Just focus on me, on my voice for now. Do you think you could do that? I'd like to ask you a few simple questions. Just worry about them for now--
[ She reaches toward the little belt on her waist, and then grabs for something that... obviously isn't there, making a small frown. Right. Her wand is... gone. She can't cast a spell to help make him feel better, can she...? ]
--W-well, I don't have my wand, but that's all right. What's your name?
no subject
Secondly, "all of us?" How many people are here, anyway? What's going on?
And then she's talking about a wand and Yuuri's sure she's either a children's entertainer trying to ease his mind (kind of insulting, he's twenty-three!) or she's a delusional, over-enthusiastic cosplayer. He leans back a tiny bit, his expression going wary.]
"First, who are you?"
no subject
[ A little. But, she smiles. ]
My name is Ursula Callistis. I'm a teacher at Luna Nova Academy.

[He picks up his phone-- she might notice it's sky blue with little darker blue cartoon poodles all over it-- and finally looks over the new apps. Most of what he would recognize is gone, but he checks out the Help app first, then the spam message from earlier.
Those are some bizarre rules... wait... wait. Number Seven....
His eyes snap back up to hers, now practically bulging with terror, and he skitters back along the bench as far from her as he can.]
Th-- this is some kind of sick joke, right?! Are you in on it?!
no subject
[ Staaaaaaaaaaaaaring. ]
W-what? No...! I was kidnapped too!
no subject
[His voice pitches up in fear, squeaking and cracking and making him sound much younger than he is. His brain can't process this. Whoever brought him here wants him and the others to commit wanton murder?! He's a figure skater, not a fighter! Besides, something like this can't be legal, it's kidnapping at the very least!]
If this is some kind of internet prank show, it's not funny! I... I have a competition to get to, I didn't sign up for this!
no subject
She draws up to her full height, though, which, by the way, considering how meek she seems to usually be, is actually quite tall at 5ft7in... and puts on a more calming, teacherly voice, clearing her throat. It won't help at all if she panics or gets mad at him, she knows this. ]
Please, calm down. You're not the only one who has been taken here. There are fourteen others, including myself.
I got the same message and a similar phone that... I should add, I don't own. I use a crystal ball to communicate. Anyway, I woke up in a room not that far from you as well, a cubicle, like this. This is the phone I received. You can check it, if you don't believe me. They also took some of my personal belongings from me... though the rest of my usual teacher's staff uniform for school is intact, surprisingly.
I should have been teaching my astrology class right about now at Luna Nova. It mentions that in my profile. Why don't you take a moment to read the profiles over and see who else is captive here like you?
no subject
This can't be right. It says I'm twenty-four, but my birthday is still eight months away. And....
[A power? Like a magical ability? That's definitely not right. He's run away from enough things in his life to know he can't move faster than the naked eye can follow.
And then he reads Ursula's profile, followed by all the others. Everyone has a power, some have weird occupations or likes and dislikes... what is going on here?!]
This... none of this makes any sense... and we've all been kidnapped? By whom?
no subject
[ She frowns. ]
I don't have any discrepancies in my profile... that's strange. Are you sure the age is wrong?
no subject
[Not that he's thrilled about having his weaknesses displayed so openly where everyone can see them.]
no subject
[ Checking her phone just to re-confirm it says that. It sure does. ]
It definitely lists your age as older than that...

[ She'll hold up a finger on her right hand, and a bit of barbed wire will appear out of nowhere into the air, shaping itself into the constellation of the big dipper. She moves a hand, reshaping it after that into a small star shape, before it eventually disappears.
The ease that she does this with, and the almost boredom on her face shows a practiced hand at this kind of thing. ]
no subject
[She made barbed wire appear out of thin air. It's not impossible to think it's a stage magician's trick, but then it twists into different shapes and Yuuri starts to feel an uncomfortable twinge of doubt in his stomach.]
... even if my power is real, I... I have no idea how to trigger it. Magic is just tricks in my world.
no subject
[ She rubs her chin, thoughtful. ]
Well... if it's anything like another magical power I'm familiar with, it will probably only trigger when it's ready to, or when you understand it best. As it is now, if you can't activate what they've given you, there's likely something missing from you to do so.
no subject
[He sighs, rubbing his face.]
I'm just a dime-a-dozen figure skater. I'm not a witch or a hero from a manga or anything like that. Talk about being really out of my element.
no subject
[ She smiles. ]
You don't have to be a hero to be someone worthwhile, you know.
no subject
[He shakes his head slowly, staring at the floor between his feet.]
I was ready to retire from skating after I bombed two major competitions. All because my dog died and I fell apart. What kind of professional athlete does that? So what's that really make me if not some... wannabe who just knows the mechanics of skating but isn't a real professional?
no subject
[ Her smile is gentle. ]
That doesn't make you incapable.
