WAKE UP TIME
[The first thing you feel when you wake up is...nothing.
You don't feel much different at all when you wake up, no doubt from a very pleasant sleep, even if you may not remember what you dreamed of. If anything, you would have thought it was another normal day.
That thought would have vanished the moment you took in your surroundings. This is not your bed, this is definitely not your bedroom, and well, this is definitely not your home. In fact, this place isn't anywhere you've been before.
Before you can question anything much further, your cell phone starts beeping, flashing a message on the screen for a good several minutes, before flashing your profile, also for a few minutes. Yes, now you have a Title, and a power, even if you've never had one before. And yes, you have a cell phone. Even if you didn't have one, and don't know what the hell a cell phone is. You get the feeling you'll need to keep it on you.
The profile fades back to the home page of your phone - don't worry, you can still access your profile, and everyone else's, on that little lime icon if you really want - even though you have so many questions now. (The help button may... attempt to be helpful in that case.) Where the hell are you? Why do you have a Title? And can you get out?
Perhaps, if you're strong enough. But, in any case.
Welcome, Titled.
There are fifteen strangers in this place.]
((OOC: Welcome!
If you haven't filled out the resident profile or current residents information yet, please do so!))

Oh yes, demons are very fond of taking over humans to act freely and unseen.
But in that case, the demon is still the ultimate culprit. We can't condemn solely the tool for the powers that hold it in place.

If the tool is unwilling, I agree completely. A willing servant to this sort of twisted mentality, I will find myself with little sympathy for. I doubt we have much chance of telling which this early, unfortunately.
It won't be easy to face a demon with powers I can only assume it itself granted us...

You seem to be a regular expert in matters of demonic possessions.

A friend of mine was taken as a student by one of the world's foremost spiritual warriors.
[He's disinclined to admit to being a demon himself; the way she talks about it sounds a little personal.]

[ This is followed by a demonstrative eyeroll. She is overall grateful for what the experience has caused for her, but in itself? No need to ever do that again, ugh. ]
They used to be a huge plague where I come from, but they're a bit more moderate now. I was assuming that this is one of their tricks, but you're not from Neo Yokio, are you?
no subject
And I'm afraid I've never heard of Neo Yokio. I'm from Japan, but... Well, I've been discussing the possibility that some of us may actually be from parallel universes. There are definitely signs pointing that way.

[ Helena has never specifically believed in different worlds, but she can't say she held any strong beliefs to the contrary either. It just didn't cross her mind when she was still so rootedly living in her home city, concerned with primarily her own life and interests.
Now it's less earthshattering then... ]
That's going to make rescue from the outside a whole lot harder.

Not necessarily impossible, but certainly not anything we can afford to depend on. We're simply going to have to save ourselves.
