WAKE UP TIME
[The first thing you feel when you wake up is...nothing.
You don't feel much different at all when you wake up, no doubt from a very pleasant sleep, even if you may not remember what you dreamed of. If anything, you would have thought it was another normal day.
That thought would have vanished the moment you took in your surroundings. This is not your bed, this is definitely not your bedroom, and well, this is definitely not your home. In fact, this place isn't anywhere you've been before.
Before you can question anything much further, your cell phone starts beeping, flashing a message on the screen for a good several minutes, before flashing your profile, also for a few minutes. Yes, now you have a Title, and a power, even if you've never had one before. And yes, you have a cell phone. Even if you didn't have one, and don't know what the hell a cell phone is. You get the feeling you'll need to keep it on you.
The profile fades back to the home page of your phone - don't worry, you can still access your profile, and everyone else's, on that little lime icon if you really want - even though you have so many questions now. (The help button may... attempt to be helpful in that case.) Where the hell are you? Why do you have a Title? And can you get out?
Perhaps, if you're strong enough. But, in any case.
Welcome, Titled.
There are fifteen strangers in this place.]
((OOC: Welcome!
If you haven't filled out the resident profile or current residents information yet, please do so!))

[ She's beaming. She loves her school so much. ]
And I HAVE heard of ki manipulation, though it's not a very common practice in magic, as far as I'm aware. Most use the standard method.

Perhaps it's the difference in culture between Ireland and Japan? We may have evolved different traditions. [He doesn't sound entirely convinced, though. One way to find out; he happens to know someone who is literally world famous in these circles.] Have you ever heard of Master Genkai?

[ What a conundrum... ]
I'm starting to wonder if that old mathematics theory might be right. Ahh, what was it... string theory?
I had to look up string theory as it relates to the multiverse theorem...
[Definitely concerning. But it's not too much outside Kurama's experience. Once you're familiar with three worlds, the idea of more isn't as far-fetched.]
It is posited in string theory, but that's rather esoteric mathematics for most. [He sounds rather pleased that she came out with it, though.] It's more commonly referred to as the multiverse theory, or parallel universes. It's rather popular in speculative fiction.
been there, done that
[ Also she watches Star Wars and can turn her wand into a lightsaber but that's beside the point, she's a nerd. ]
I've just... noticed a lot of people here have no idea what I'm talking about and seem to think I'm crazy. Even every-day people back home have at least heard of witches due to Shiny Chariot's magic show... she was quite popular, for a time...

[One of the reasons that while he is a diligent student, Kurama often doesn't especially like high school. And Kurama is a giant botany geek that turns a rose into a whip, he isn't going to throw any stones from his glass house here.]
I'm afraid I've never heard of that, either, though a magic show boasting genuine magic sounds intriguing. It does build support for the theory.

[ She gives a small chuckle. ]
I went to school with her. Her magic was really something. It's a shame you weren't able to see it. No one's seen Chariot's show in quite some time. She just disappeared a few years ago...

[He leans back slightly, resting a finger on his chin as he considers her words. After a moment, he smiles and shakes his head.] Hopefully she simply chose to retire into obscurity rather than anything more sinister. Popularity can be very wearing, there's a pressure to living up to the way people see you.

[ Is her smile a bit thin? Huh, fancy that. ]
She toured the world, though, so I find it surprising you've never heard of her. It really does just support my theory more.

I agree, to be honest. I have a question that will probably sound quite strange if your theory is correct. How many worlds are there where you come from?
[He wouldn't use this question on a normal person but a genuinely powerful, fully trained magic-user would know about Makai and Reikai.]

I think that may count as confirmation, truthfully.
