WAKE UP TIME

[The first thing you feel when you wake up is...nothing.

You don't feel much different at all when you wake up, no doubt from a very pleasant sleep, even if you may not remember what you dreamed of. If anything, you would have thought it was another normal day.

That thought would have vanished the moment you took in your surroundings. This is not your bed, this is definitely not your bedroom, and well, this is definitely not your home. In fact, this place isn't anywhere you've been before.

Before you can question anything much further, your cell phone starts beeping, flashing a message on the screen for a good several minutes, before flashing your profile, also for a few minutes. Yes, now you have a Title, and a power, even if you've never had one before. And yes, you have a cell phone. Even if you didn't have one, and don't know what the hell a cell phone is. You get the feeling you'll need to keep it on you.

The profile fades back to the home page of your phone - don't worry, you can still access your profile, and everyone else's, on that little lime icon if you really want - even though you have so many questions now. (The help button may... attempt to be helpful in that case.) Where the hell are you? Why do you have a Title? And can you get out?

[ Karma's expression just shifts then, looking almost amused now as he shrugged his shoulders with ease. ]

[ Totally still rather calm and laid-back about this, he paused before considering his next words. ]

What would you do if there really isn't a better way? Our kidnappers certainly seem thorough from what I can see.

And if there wasn't, I would work until there was one. I would never give up. There's importance to the old magic words... I doubt you know about the Seven Words of Arcturus, but... "Noctu Orfei Aude Fraetor". Strive for your ideal place, and never let it go. Let that flame burn bright in your heart, and let nothing extinguish it. That is what it can teach us.

And what kind of teacher would I be if I gave up?

[ There's just a moment, in which his expression shifts into surprise; like he's not really seeing her here with him. Her words seemed so honest, seeming so much like Koro-sensei that it'd caught him off guard. ]

I would be very disappointed to see someone so young give up so easily. Just because we're in this terrible situation doesn't mean we should despair. Believing in yourself is important, after all. It's your magic.

[ ... The words come so naturally out of her throat, she doesn't even stop to think. She's said them so very many times. "Always remember... believing in yourself is your magic." ]

[ Karma's eyebrow raised a bit at that last half of her statement. ]

Magic, huh? Can't say that really exists where I come from but I know what you're getting at.

[ He slipped his hands into his pockets at this, gaze turning around to the mall around them as a lazy smile curled his lips slightly. ]

This really isn't all that terrible. I've been in worse situations.

[ Even though he'd given the profiles all a brief glance, he wasn't as well acquainted with the others as much as he'd like to. Wanting to get a look at this place first. ]

I think we all wish the situation as it is was better, Karma.

[ Still, she gives a smile. ]

[ Though by his standards, the situation being better meant him at least having weapons on him or having at least someone from home here with him. If he'd been able to have Nagisa here, it'd be a little less of a pain to deal with everything, after all. ]

Probably going to buy some new clothes. Can't really wear this the whole time.
