WAKE UP TIME

[The first thing you feel when you wake up is...nothing.

You don't feel much different at all when you wake up, no doubt from a very pleasant sleep, even if you may not remember what you dreamed of. If anything, you would have thought it was another normal day.

That thought would have vanished the moment you took in your surroundings. This is not your bed, this is definitely not your bedroom, and well, this is definitely not your home. In fact, this place isn't anywhere you've been before.

Before you can question anything much further, your cell phone starts beeping, flashing a message on the screen for a good several minutes, before flashing your profile, also for a few minutes. Yes, now you have a Title, and a power, even if you've never had one before. And yes, you have a cell phone. Even if you didn't have one, and don't know what the hell a cell phone is. You get the feeling you'll need to keep it on you.

The profile fades back to the home page of your phone - don't worry, you can still access your profile, and everyone else's, on that little lime icon if you really want - even though you have so many questions now. (The help button may... attempt to be helpful in that case.) Where the hell are you? Why do you have a Title? And can you get out?

Perhaps, if you're strong enough. But, in any case.

...shit, now I'm kind of hoping that won't be true. I'd feel bad punching some kid even if they kidnapped a bunch of people for this mess.

Truthfully, I doubt the Life Coach will have been directly involved in our abductions. It would be a poor choice by our captors given rule four is not to attack them. Unless they wish to draw us into breaking them.

I bet that's what they want. All that stuff about punishments, they must be really want to punish someone.

It better not be death. That's not 'a hilarious punishment' or whatever the rules say about that!

It may be, though most rule-setters set some manner of punishment for infractions. The fact that it's made explicit doesn't automatically mean intent.

[Not that Kurama is inclined to be punished, either, though he'll break rules if he has to.]

I believe that was for sleeping outside your room. A fairly minor issue, all told, so I doubt it would be death for that.

Did you see the rooms? It'd be almost like sleeping anywhere else in this mall. They couldn't even set them near bathrooms or something.

[Kind of silly to make a few cubicles and call the 'bedrooms', as far as anyone's concerned, it would be no different than sleeping in any store]

I did. They seem more like set-pieces than genuine rooms, but I suppose one shouldn't expect anything else in a mall.

[Except for the fact that sleeping elsewhere is forbidden. That's probably different enough for most. Kurama's not sure he wants to see what the Life Coach would consider 'hilarious' anyway.]
