WEEK 1

WEEK 1

[You now know why you're here, Titled. The question now is, is there a way to get out of here without invoking the rules? What will those who brought you here do to get you to kill?

Time will tell.

There are fifteen strangers in this place.]

[That's artistically brilliant, using the medium and the piece itself to complement each other, and definitely the sort of abstract thought Joey's used to having randomly pop into her head when regarding random crap around her house. Yep. Definitely a highly evocative work of art here.]

[She has no idea if it's a clue or not, but Joey's going to follow her instincts and go back to the Barcade. Just for a minute, to follow this hunch that is definitely coming from her noted appreciation for fine artwork and not anything fishier.]

[Maybe her babysitter's here, or something.]

[Helping herself might be a bad idea, but on the other hand pondering why would also invite the question of how she got cash to put in the DDR machine earlier. Unless those just take money off the phones too.]

[More to the point...]

> Look behind counter.

[Yep, this definitely looks like a less insanely scary version of the basement. Or the living room on a Friday. What's that one thing, though?]

I really hope I didn't wander into a Sierra game...

>Examine

[Ah! A journal! The most coveted and useful of all clues except in real life when you just have your own lame journal lying around your room but treat it like a big deal because you watch too much television and have odd stress responses. This one looks more interesting, though.]

[Just going to carefully slide that out and take a closer look at it in the light.]
incrediblystressedout: (i just saw the early 3D render of myself)

[Joey doesn't drink, but she lives with a drinker most of the time so she recognizes at least some of the alcohol names.]

A...recipe? Recipes? For mixed drinks? What the heck kind of journal is that?

[At least it's something normal to find under a bar, but...still. There's something weird about all this.]

[In the interest of there not being any adults around to point out how ludicrously illegal this is, Joey will take a look at one of the recipes with mostly "translated" ingredients and line the bottles up on the bar. Her curiosity is piqued, and that's second only to her imagination in her mental assets.]

[It's faintly familiar, although she only recognizes half the names as she digs behind the bar to match words to ingredients. It reads like an annotated drinks book for someone who'd never seen alcohol before and wanted to make sure they got it right.]

[Who was this written for...?]

[Might as well check out other recipes. She's got nowhere to be at this point.]
incrediblystressedout: (is this the right pose for a 90's girl?)

Boiling water? Jeez, I thought I knew a booze scientist, but she's barely scratched the surface...

[Joey considers the book as a whole.]

Better hold onto this and see if anyone knows what any of these strange words mean. And stop talking to myself.
