I suspect it's whoever she calls her boss.

I asked her where her parents were the other day, but it seems like she's awfully defensive about it.

There's a good chance that either her boss has her involved with something that she doesn't want them to know about, or that sick fuck is whatever family she has.

Pressuring her about it isn't going to achieve anything until she wants to talk about it... or maybe she can't.
