WEEK 2

[The unfortunate death, and subsequent execution, has no doubt weighed on everyone's minds since. The dam has burst, and now, the idea that someone may kill another in this place is not just a possibility anymore. It is reality, and a very terrifying reality at that.

Yet, there is a strange side effect to the murder's aftermath. When the Titled go to sleep on Saturday evening, they will dream, even if they don't normally do so. When they wake up, their dream stays with them, and a thought comes to everyone. A realization.

Their dream had been a memory they lost. Now, they have it back, as if they had never lost it.

Nor is that the only change. They also feel just a little more confident in their power. Confident enough that they find that their ability has evolved to become stronger. Whether that's a good or a bad thing, well...

Soon enough, too, the Titled's phones start pinging, and when they open up their LIME app, they receive a simple message:]

Your Mall Map has been updated!

[And indeed, those who go to check the Food Court will find an elevator on the eastern end which leads to a brand new wing that had previously been obscured by the barrier.

Dio and Wake's information is also slightly different from before on the LIME app, but...maybe it's best not to think about it. Last week had been...disheartening.

Hopefully, this week will be better, right? Surely, this week, temptation won't win out again....right?

Well.

There's only one way to find out.

[ Honestly, there's an initial question regarding the safety of drinking some random, strange substance that just mysteriously appeared in his room.

It's probably stupid.

But, then... hey! If they wanted them to die in this kind of way, they wouldn't be trying to get them to kill one another. The thing does say that he'll be able to decline answering... or even warp the truth in some way...

... and last week, around this time, the game paid off in more than one way.

I still don't know if that broken calculator belongs to anyone. Normally I'd just toss it, but if it's got sentimental value for someone for whatever reason...

[Ren finds him there, after purchasing a bowl of noodles from Wok This Way for himself. Well now. ]

[ A nod, and she's quiet for a while as she just lets the water continue to hit her. ]

He would. [ ... ] Thank you. Whenever I was sad, he would always talk to me and make me feel like it could get better. I don't know if it will ever be better but- it doesn't feel worse right now.

[ The phrasing is awkward, but she really does want to try to express that talking helps, at least a little. ]

You could try asking around. I'm sure if it belongs to someone, and they remember it, they'll say as much.

Though, we can't be sure nobody has forgotten possessions of theirs that have ended up in those machines.

I woke up a week ago with a ring I've never seen before on my hand, so I'm assuming yes.

Not 100% sure who it is, but ever since Sunday I've had my hopes.

...I don't know. Given they've taken our memories, I can't be sure of how far I got. Meaning I can't plan.

[ She's not even sure she wants to stop, honestly. Part of her is still bitter. Maybe stop trying to sabotage Akko, but... ]

They're so... tiny.

[ If she could see it now, maybe she would feel a bit better. She doesn't know what to do with the empathy Akira offers, but she does nod a little. ]

[Somehow the text can communicate rather well how much he doesn't believe this suspicious fact despite the truth serum thing. Guess who hasn't realized yet the Sunday dream was a memory]

I'm not surprised, just... kind of disappointed in myself.

[ Nodding his head in response to Akira's thanks, he wasn't quite expecting to see that brief touch of surprise on the other's face. Karma was an observant person so he picked up on little things here and there, even if he wouldn't directly voice them aloud.

There was clearly a lot on Akira's mind, so he'd let him have that for what it was worth. No need to rush things, after all. ]

Good. Glad to hear you've still got fight left in you.

[ Closing his eyes, Karma tilted his head to the side amidst his thoughts while fingers drummed idly along the floor. ]

You know, if I ever feel like you lose that fight and try to sacrifice yourself like an idiot? Expect a couple hits from me, and I won't be holding back. Got it?

[Well, since someone else decided to participate in this game, apparently Akechi doesn't have much he's likely to lose that isn't already at stake. So fine, he'll take it. That doesn't mean he has to advertise it, however, so he skips on the message. Instead, people can find him in the food court, nursing a cup of coffee and reading something from the bookstore.

Later in the day, he's evidently decided he has some extra energy to burn, so he's wound up in the Touch of Fitnesse. He splits his time there between the exercise bikes and the climbing wall, seeming perfectly at home on both...particularly the latter, which people might be able to find him sitting on top of after he's climbed it.]
